Disney Dream come True 8/28/2011

Isn't every little milestone so exciting when you are looking forward to something?

I have just about got everything booked; only one adr for 'Ohanna. The only thing left is shore excursions when the booking window opens for me.:surfweb:

Yes! The last two cruises we took just our birth cert. but I was always nervous about something happening while in Nassau!

Hi All-

I keep reading about Diser's that are planning on staying on the boat. Any recommendations? With 4 kids in tow, not sure how to attack the island. Atlantis is a must, for the aquarium and view, but is there anything else?

Let me know you thoughts,
Elizabeth

We plan on getting off the boat in Nassau, maybe do a shore excursion but will definately take a walk to DelSol and get some neat color changing nail polish!

We are going to do the Dolphin or Sea Lion encounter...we haven't decided yet!

I am looking at these, too! I am pretty sure what I want but this will be the ONLY secret surprise of the trip for my daughter:banana: I won't tell her until we are on our way! :yay: (assuming that I am able to manage it, of course!)

We will be some of the people who won't do any more excursions. On our first cruise we did Disney's Sea and See Tour - the Sea part felt like you were being cooked in a tin can (the submarine didn't have AC and got pretty hot and smelly) and during the See part we were loaded into a small bus and had to swap seats as the weight had to be distributed evenly or we would topple over! Once was more than enough - thank you! :lmao:
Second trip we did the Atlantis tour through Disney again and while it was fun to walk through the aquarium it was like running through and making it to a lot of places in a pretty short amount of time.

So, what will we do .... get off the ship, do some shopping - Del Sol, some spiced rum and rumcake and a few other little bits and pieces and return to the ship. Getting off and on is pretty easy and we had a real leisurely time that day! :thumbsup2

We'll do some type of excursion when we get to Nassau. Not sure yet what we're doing though.

On a nother note I was checking prices for our sailing & prices have almost doubled! I'm paying $2200 for a 4A (1A & 1C). That same cabin is now $4,137.44 :scared1: ! OMG I'm so glad I didn't wait any longer to book!

I noticed that!! I cannot believe how much the prices went up! I think the oceanview that came available is more than I paid for my verandah!

HILARIOUS! Yes... I guess, I should at least step my foot off of the boat =)

Just curious... How far in advance did you purchase? I want to maximize my savings next time =)

I've never done it before! We did some lame boat tour last year, but this year its just me and hubby and we want to try something fun! We will probably do the Dolphin (I think its $125, no swim) and the sea lion is $99 (I think). Hoping to do Jet ski's on castaway, but I hear they go fast:( and this is only our second sailing so we don't get to book as early as others :(

THis is us as well we are going to get off take a little stroll around grab a few trinkets the girls really want little dolls and DelSol and back to the boat to enjoy the entire day aboard the boat. We might try and get the girls hair braided this day as we think it won't be as busy as other day's as well.

I think it's $3.00 a braid I tell them how many braids I want done and I only do from front to back of head not all the way down I think with tip last time it was around $25.00.

Afternoon everyone! I have good news & bad news..

Bad news first: We are down to only 2 of us traveling on this cruise. Originally my BFF & her daughter were supposed to join us but they have backed out for personal reasons. :guilty: I'm upset they won't be there but I understand.

Good news: I just booked my flights on AirTran & I paid $215.40 nonstop roundtrip from Laguardia 8/27 - 9/4!!!! WOOHOOOOO I couldn't pass up that deal!!! :cool1::banana:
