Disney Dream come True 8/28/2011

Hello everyone! We are finally booked on this cruise with a 3 night stay at DCS post cruise. It will be myself, DD (9), DF & her DD (11). I have a 4A guarantee so there's a good chance that I'll be assigned a concierge room . This will be mine & DD 2nd Disney cruise & my friend's 1st. I'm so excited! Summer can't get here fast enough! I'm from NYC (Harlem) & DF is from Westchester County. Looking forward to this cruise!

Hi All-

Just wondering if any of you are DVC members. We have made multiple trips to Disney, bought one on the last cruise, then cancelled it when we got home.

I'm rethinking it, cuz, I know it will hit us again, this trip.

Any suggestions?

We are also DVC members and i will say it short and sweet we bought ours in 1999 on our honeymoon . there are alot of positives and maybe a few negatives . thru the good and the magical it has to be right for you and your family to sign on the dotted line . I love staying at a 5 star resort compeared to the usual hotel room like pop and all stars . this is my main reason i like it soo much . if they are selling one resort and you do not like that one you can ask if they have any inventory of say beach club like a friend of mine just bought into in dec . Good Luck on choosing

Oh, I agree...August! Can't wait. Our school had its first snow day in 7 or 8 years! Hard to believe! Kids are happy As for me...I'm thinking white sands, turquoise waters and heat!

That's great.... I had to calm my leaps of joy, when the boys asked ''Why are you so happy?" I felt a little guilty... so we had to have a moment of sorrow for another school day lost to the blizzard.

Well... we will have to pay for it at the end of the year

Hello and welcome to more mother daughter cruisers! Wow, a concierge room! That would be amazing. I am sure we are all wishing for your pixie dust! I am sure you are wanting this cruise with all that snow I am hearing about there!

I see there are quite a few new yorkers on this cruise. I will be making some day trips between July 27 and August 2 into Manhattan from Staten Island. I know I want to see DisneyStore in Times Square and the Statue ofLiberty. I also hope to catch a show, any recommendations? We will be staying for 10 days or so at Pop before the cruise It is all so exciting! Just half a year away! Will we have enough time to plan??

Hello and welcome to more mother daughter cruisers! Wow, a concierge room! That would be amazing. I am sure we are all wishing for your pixie dust! I am sure you are wanting this cruise with all that snow I am hearing about there!

Of course we are up for it!!! Let me know a date that works for you All I have solid so far is a fed reserve tour on the 2nd. I will be booking the statue of liberty soon, and will be checking out yankee games as well.

this far in advance anything is good for me ? just tell me a day and time and we can meet you in the city to see the disney store i have not did it yet . but i have a new one by me on long island that i have been to but they say the one in the city is nicer .

Anyone have any good times and day we can get together for an aqua duck meet ?? or just get together for a nice photo of all of us together either on ship or at castaway cay ?? or any other ideas would be appricated from our frequent travelers ?

this weekend I should have my Fish Extender completed with pixies crossed that not too many comlications making it . then i will share pictures of it

I think I have worked out some of the logistics for this trip.

On Aug 26 I take an annual fantasy football draft trip to Atlantic City, NJ. I will get back to NY early on the 27th... hop on a plane to Orlando. Will probably rent a car in Fla...

Plan for Saturday is pool time and hopefully see Yehaa Bob at Port Orleans Riverside in the evening.

I just booked Animal Kingdom Villas Savannah view for Saturday nite - we have never done AKV and think the DDs will like seeing the animals when we get up on Sunday AM (heck I know I will).

We may do mass on Sun AM... we have done mass near WDW and near the port before... will decide which place makes sense as we get close (and assuming we have a car rental).

After the cruise we will stay at Beach Club Villas in a 1BR (I am starting to like being a DVC member!). We have booked thru Sept 7, but I have a hunch the 7th will be the first day of school - in which case we will leave on the 6th.

Very exciting!

But I need to get back to my planning for my DL trip in a week. Speak to u all soon!
