So my husband really wants a verandah. I was honestly fine with just a porthole. We agreed with cat 7a. A small obstructed balcony. Would you go with 7520 or 9512. Same location - just different decks. Leaning towards 7520 since a little lower down. Was told the lower down, the better for motion sickness.

Thanks!!!

We stayed in 9512 in Dec on the Dream- lovely room and the obstruction in the room wasn't bad at all. Didn't feel much movement on the ship at all. Also on Castaway Cay day we had an amazing view, also great for getting to the adult pool areas.

Awesome! Thank you so much. If you have any pictures of the actual room, that would be awesome! Also, is the sofa that turns into a bed comfy? My daughter (age 10) would be sleeping on it. Hopefully not a horrible sleep on it!

My friend had the sofa bed and shes an adult, she found it fine for sleeping in so I'm sure your daughter would be okay.

I don't have any pics of the room to hand, but have one as we were pulling into Castaway Cay to give you an idea of the view if that helps?

We had a room a few doors down from 9512. That aft location on deck is perfect. It is just two quick flights up the aft stairs, no need to wait on the elevators, and you are in Cabanas Buffet, and real close to the pool deck and drink stations. Super perfect lcoation:thumbsup2

We were in Room 7580 on the Dream and it was a great location. We used the verandah a LOT more than I thought we would. It was so peaceful to just sit there and watch the ocean go by. We had DD 12 and her friend with us and they took turns sleeping on the couch and bunk. The bunk was borderline short for them but it worked fine (3 night cruise). They thought the sofa bed was comfortable. It isn't like a normal rollout bed that has the uncomfortable bars.

I was in 9512 last March and booking 7520 for next March (since 9512 wasn't an option to book.) If you look at the TR in my Signature, it offers MANY pics of what the Verandah looks like with the "obstruction." For my mom and I it was fine and a great compromise between having just a window and not paying $$$$ for a full verandah.

We had 5688 on the Dream (I don't know if it's still classified 7A) the view wasn't obstructed at all. We loved our little verandah right over Mickey Mouse (aft). :)
