Hi Everyone! Wanted to introduce myself and my family- I'm Rebecca and I will be sailing with my DH Chris, our DD Lily who turns 3 on the 7th and our DS Sylar who turns 4 while on the boat on the 10th! We chose not to do FE for our first cruise to see the ropes and just take the experience in. We come from Virginia and will be staying in Orlando the day before the cruise and one night after. We are so absolutely excited about this trip!

Welcome! I am so excited for you guys. Your family is going to have an amazing time! There is so much to do -- you will never sit still! I already checked with DCL to see which movies will be playing while on board (though I typically call about two weeks out) and right now there is Finding Dory, Zootopia, And BFG (other movies, too) so maybe your daughter would enjoy one of the animated movies!? I asked my son and husband today what they are most looking forward to and my son said, "the food," while my husband said sitting on the deck. Deck 4 is a great place to sit and relax, though we don't do much of that. Castaway Cay is simply paradise. I had never been on sand so soft in my life. The food is great, too. And kids will have a blast on the island between the activities and water (one of our favorite activities is watching the crab races and dancing with Mickey!)

So much to look forward to!

Staying in Orlando is a good idea. We stay at a different WDW resort the night before the cruise each time we visit and then stay at our favorite WDW resort after the cruise -- you will love the transportation. Even the buses are fun since everyone on board is heading for the port! And if you are using other transportation it is just as convenient and reliable, too! And, if you are driving, well, I guess that is the best transportation of all!

If it fits in your schedule, you are welcome to join us for a brief 'meet up' on Monday, August 8 at 3:15 p.m. in the D Lounge, Deck 4 Midship. We just plan on introducing ourselves and putting faces with names.

We are only a few short weeks away! Yay!

Hello everyone -- are you getting excited? I mean, seriously...we are weeks away...days away...from a fabulous, unforgettable vacation! Our magnets for the stateroom door arrived yesterday and I had my FE gifts spread all over the place -- it is getting really close! I wanted to send the list again and tried to put the list in numerical order for each group to make it easier for deliveries. I think assembling the gifts and delivering the gifts are equally as fun! You just know you are going to make someone smile!

Hello Ashley!
The fish extender game is similar to a Secret Santa game where guests hang a bag/pouch outside of their cabin door and people put small gifts in the bag. However, the groups that you see above (DREAM CATCHERS, DREAM WEAVERS, DAY DREAMERS, DREAM BOATS) started assembling teams back in December and our cut off for the game was July 3, so unfortunately, the game, for the four teams mentioned, is now full. But, you are welcome to find others on this thread who may be interested in participating in a new game!

In fact, if you click back to page 10 you will see 'Addiaruy' ask the same question and was looking to get a team going before the cruise who may be interested in exchanging FE gifts. Perhaps you can comment under their comment and exchange information!?

Aside from that, please use this thread to share about your family and what you are most looking forward to! I can't believe this is all so close now! We have just broken up for our summer holidays ( I work in a school) so have one week to get ready and pack and then we are off to the airport on July 31st.

I am so sorry for the delay! You could search each family's profile to see if they have their last name listed but many do not. With only a few days left before we sail we could try and ask each family in group #4 to provide their last name but you may not receive the information in time.

I'm just throwing this out to the Fish Extender Group 2, Dream Weavers. A small family on another site had asked about the FE groups after the cut off date. Since some of you may have extra gifts because of the family of five who aren't coming, would you like to "adopt" this family? It's a Mom and her daughter (not sure of age yet). It's their first cruise and I think it would be a nice welcome. She asked how many gifts she should get but I told her at this point just let whoever can participate treat them, so that she wouldn't have to rush to get anything. I know some people may have done personalized things so I'm not saying to do anything more, just whatever you may have had for the other family that might work. I know some in the group have already left their homes so not expecting them to participate. Thoughts? I will give you their names and cabin number if there is enough interest.
