Disney Dream April 4, 2016 (4 day Bahama)

For those of us who have cruised before, what is the best advise you have for someone who has never been on a Disney cruise?

1. Get to the terminal early there are several things to do before walking onto the ship.

Hey there everyone! It is never to early to get started discussing our Disney Dream Cruise so I am starting our Thread. We hope you are excited about cruising, this will be our third cruise and first on the Dream!

I would like to offer this thread as a place to meet and also participate in the fish extender group if you are interested. If you are not familiar with what a fish extender group is on the Disney Cruise ships there are lots of post on the cruise forum explaining the process.

There will be myself (Melody) and my husband (Rich) our two son's Matthew (13) and Daniel (16) and would love to make it more special by participating in the Fish Extender group!

Hope to see many FE members wanting to join! As we get closer to the cruise we can decide as a group what size FE groups you would like to have, and will explain later.

Hey all! I'm sorry I'm a little computer challenged, and it's taking me a bit to get use to how to post and to reply to messages here. This will be our 2nd Disney Cruise (our youngest daughter's first!). My husband and I are ECSTATIC to go again. The kids would be too---if they knew about it ;-) We'll be surprising them at Christmas!
I would very much like to be included in the Fish Extender fun as I've read so much about it, and it sounds like a blast! I remember seeing doors and fish decorated on our first trip and wondered what it was all about. Now I know, and I can't wait to start!!!

2. Actually take the time to wonder around the ENTIRE ship. There are a lot of little nooks and crannies that are pretty cool that you'd never find otherwise.

I agree the more time I have the better ideas I have!!! This will be our first Disney cruise. Since you have been on one before do you have any secrets to share that would help?

Hmmm...idk about secrets, but I can tell you bring a fair amount of spending $ for souvenirs. I didn't think that I'd fall into the trap of the shops on board, BUUUUT....lol I DID however, score a zip up hoodie clearance out to $15
Also, after Halloween is done and over with, buy up any kind of pirate costume stuff you can find. The pirate show is amazing and ALL of the guests take part in it. I was jaw dropped impressed by how fun it was
Flip flops or swim shoes are best to have, because you can go into the water easily with either
