Disney Dream - April 3, 2011 - 4 nights

Hey guys! I haven't been on in a few days because I am just totally bogged down with cruise and personal stuff!

I haven't even started packing yet and we're heading out Saturday morning

Question, are we still wearing our Minnie Ears on the Rum run? I don't want to be the only one with them on

I have my Minnie Ears packed (at least I'm 99% sure that I do). OK, I'll put that on my list to double-check tonight. I have packed and unpacked things so many times that my mind is going fuzzy

I do know for sure that my Rum Run logo bag is packed and ready

Hi everyone!! It's been a while since I've had time to get on and catch up - so glad to see you all are still here

Crystal - I need to give you extra special thanks for everything you've done to keep the excitement going (I've needed the breaks throughout this long year) and a HUGE thank you for reminding me to stop and take the time to do the FE - my DD and I had a great time Saturday putting our stuff together - it's nothing fancy or as creative as some - but there is a lot of laughter and love in our little goody bags

I cannot wait to meet everyone - we'll see some of you at the Radisson!!! Party on the bus on the way to the port

I hope everyone has a safe trip!!!

What part of GA are you from? We are from GA too and will be on the Dream in just a few short days. Me, DH, DS (will turn 7 next week), Sis, neice (12). Can't belive we leave GA for FL on FRIDAY and I haven't even started packing!! WHAT am I doing sitting here... LOL. Guess I'd better get busy.

Another person that I wanted to send my thanks to was kikids for organizing the FE (with the awesome spreadsheet) and her DH for the ship deck plans with all the staterooms marked!!

I know when we get on the ship and people start going all different directions, it will be hard to get those thanks across. So I want to make sure I get it said now

This has been such a wonderful group and I cannot wait to meet you all in person!!!

Awww, thanks a million! It's been fun working on the list and getting to know everyone via email too.

I want to pre book the next cruise while on board but I'm disappointed already b/c I know the next group of cruisers couldn't possibly be as much fun as this group has been.

My Mom just called me here to work to see if I had heard about the weather in FL. The tornado warnings and golf-ball sized hail made the news all the way here in So. Cal. LOL - I reassured her that it looks to move out of that area today and the rest of the 10-day forecast looks pretty good

Oh..FYI...I just checked in with the mjvans family (they are at WDW right now) and they are fine. Stuck in the hotel room, but fine

She said that flights into Orlando are cancelled today. I'm sure glad that it looks like this weather should be clearing out soon. I really feel for those people that are supposed to be leaving on the Dream today... Don't we have one in our group that is doing B2B with today's cruise?

Last I checked the weather looked good for our flight on saturday from the west coast. We should arrive in the evening and be at the CI&S around 8:30pm.

When does your flight get in? I think ours arrives at MCO at 4:45 PM and we will be going straight from there to CI&S also

Maybe we will see you there on Saturday evening or Sunday at breakfast

Oh yes - big thank you to kikids for awesome FE organization - that map is great! I got lost handing out FE on the Wonder - can you imagine me on the dream Thank you so much!!

NatesMom2 - we live right outside Augusta - we're leaving town before all the golfers comes to town What about you?

I haven't packed - I was packed 2 weeks in advance for our last 2 cruises - so I am hoping my memory doesn't fail me and I remember everything. After our last cruise - i made a 'cruise' box with my FE, shoe hanger, tie wraps, etc - so I'm good there

Crystal - Brooke's DCL bracelet broke 2 nights ago and she is distraught - I'm asking a friend who makes those kinds of bracelets if she can fix it. If you happen to have any pointers - please let me know.

It's been cool and rainy this whole week in Augusta - I cannot wait to get in the Florida sunshine. I feel so bad for those at WDW now and those who sailed today

Here's some pixie-dust for those of you who may be experiencing bad weather. That storm crossed from west to east over Florida and is now heading up the coast. The north is supposed to be getting snow!


We were supposed to leave mid-day tomorrow...and my youngest comes home and says, "I don't have to go to school tomorrow...I already took all my tests and did my work!" He said that the teacher asked who would be there tomorrow and who would be leaving early...and she let them do Friday's work today. So...I already wrote his excuse note for when he returns! No use for school tomorrow...however...my oldest is going to go for a few blocks...and then we can leave. At least my crew is finally getting excited!


Stacey - No worries with Brooke's bracelet...if your friend has any Stretch Magic...the stretchy stuff that the beads goes on...you can re-strand the beads...tie a knot two or three times...and put some super glue or clear nail polish on the knot. Now if this doesn't work...I had some extra time....and made about 40 some...and she might find a new one in her FE! It's a huge secret...no one is supposed to read this...or know about it! And BTW...for everyone else...if a bracelet breaks...the stretchy stuff can be found at any craft store...the beads can be re-stranded very easily...and then follow the steps above to secure it. Oh...this also works if it doesn't fit...add some more beads...or take some away.


Boy, oh Boy...Am I giving Away Secrets!

Ugh, I hope that weather has rolled out before we head South! I heard the Dream was late departing waiting on flights to arrive and the weather to clear! We are getting packed up tonight and heading out Saturday! I can't believe after almost a year of waiting it's almost here!!!

We've had a lot of stuff out for a week or so now...putting it together tonight and in suitcases....man it's a lot of stuff! I know we always pack too much and I'm sure we will for the cruise, but at least we'll have what we want.

We are thinking about heading out tomorrow night and driving so that Saturday morning we will be further down the road and might not have to fight the I95 traffic as much.

I'm not taking my laptop so after tomorrow I doubt I'll check in here...just see you guys/gals on the ship!

I saw a post that he had made regarding wanting someone to get him this vinylmatino so I responded as I'll be on the Dream doing a B2B April 10th & 14th. He would like for me to purchase this Donald vinylmation for him and mail it to him when I return home. I was wondering if anyone from the 4/3 Dream cruise could look for the Donald Duck vinylmation on the ship and post back to me if it was in-stock and how much is cost? Our flight stops in Kansas City, so we don't arrive at MCO until 6:30pm. We were just trying to think of a place for dinner before driving to the port.
