Disney Dream April 19, 2012 - 3 Nights

arggg....can I just tell all of you how much I hate packing!!!!

I'm trying so hard not to overpack, I know I'm only bringing what is needed, but it always seems half the house is headed out the door in a suitcase.

We are heading down tomorrow. Also going Southwest and got the tail end of the Bs. Of course I forgot to check in and did it an hour late. I knew I should have set an alarm for that!

My FEs gifts are done. Just need to do my FE Bag for the door.

Tip: Bring a zip/wire tie if you have one to attach your FE so it doesn't go "swimming" away!!!

I also hate packing...as of now, our empty luggages are on the hallway waiting to be filled. We're leaving on Wed for Orlando. I'm packing the carry-ons first to make sure I don't pack those items inside the luggage.

Part of our FE gifts are done, I need to group them by families before I pack them. As for the FE itself, still some assembly required - the execution part was trickier than my imagined design . If it doesn't hang properly balanced, I have a backup Disney tote bag

...Sigh...some of you would have been on vacation by now, and nobody would be sitting and reading this post. I'm working until tomorrow EOB, then finish-off the packing. I'll sleep on the plane.

Well.....I'm here reading!

Actually on our flight - we are about 1 hour into our 3 hour flight and my DD6 is already done with the activities and the dvd player. Going to be a long one. Hopefully decides to nap.....doubt it.

I'll try to make the meet. Playing all by ear at this point.

I'm jealous of everyone that is on vacation already. The bad part about living in the Orlando area is that your vacation doesn't actually start until the day of the cruise. Hope everyone's having a good time.

I'm currently sitting at the Park n Cruise with my parents, waiting for my brother to arrive (darn him for falling behind!!). We had a great second day at the WDW parks, the first day was a bit rough on DS but he survived. Can't wait to board the ship!

We had a great cruise and hope everyone else did too! I just wanted to stop by and thank everyone for the wonderful gifts. We loved everything! It made our trip a little more magical to come back to our room and and have surprises waiting for us. We didn't get to book another cruise onboard, we just ran out of time and the lady was never there when we stopped by. But we're already trying to find another trip to book.

Vacation is over for us also. Back to the grind. DH off to work, DD off to school......me, well I decided to work out of the house today instead of going in.

Thank you all for the wonderful FE gifts. My DD just loves coming to the cabin and checking in her "bag" for some surprises. I think it is one of the highlights to her trip.....oh to be 6 again!

Back to reality for me too. We had an awesome time!! A little disappointed by the weather on Castaway day, but there is always next time! We did book a future cruise a 5 night western on the Wonder out of Miami next April.

Thank you ALL for the beautiful/fun/thoughtful FE gifts. We all had lots of fun checking our loot for the day and I had to restrain the boys from opening all of them at once and scattering them all on the floor.

So sorry we delivered ours a bit late (2nd/3rd nights) - hope it didn't disappoint the kids too much on Day-1. Our luggage got delivered after 9pm on Embarkation day. Good we had our dinner clothes and other essentials in our carry-ons. It was ironically funny because I saw our luggages being carted into the ship when we were at Muster Station J after the mandatory safety drill. We had red luggages with blue&yellow ribbon, so I could tell from that distance!

It rained on our "meet", we didn't make it up to Deck 12 for the Sail Away. It seemed they moved the party down to the Atrium - did anybody in this DIS board meet at all?

I felt 3 days was too short, it seemed like I was packing/unpacking/packing all the time. We did the onboard airline checkin, so we had to finish our luggages before 10:30pm. We missed the show "Believe" because of the packing, we shopped quite a bit and had a hard time fitting everything in the bags. We had heavier carry-ons on the way home.

We decided next time we fly to PC for DCL cruise, we're only doing the 7-nt at the shortest.

My family and I loved all the FE gifts! So many creative things, thank you guys!

Sorry we missed the meet, but we boarded later in the afternoon and by the time I figured out which way was up, it started raining on the deck. The weather wasn't very cooperative on our trip, but we had fun nonetheless.

We also decided 3-nights was just too short and booked a 7-night Eastern Caribbean trip on the Fantasy for next June. Though that trip is likely to be moved once or twice before then.
