Disney Dream 9/29/2011 3night

So guess who is a slacker? That would be me......haven't packed one single thing or really gotten anything ready except my FE! I did manage to add another day to my already 3 day WDW after the cruise. First things first! So now today, I wake up a realize that we are leaving next Wed!!
So fellow cruisers, it has been 11 years since my last Disney cruise and I am drawing a blank on how I should plan my packing! Help

I always figure out what we're wearing to dinners first, and then plan the rest around that. No sea days, only a few at WDW....so shorts and tank tops...swimsuit....
I have to get up right now and go add my power cord with extra plugs to my pile....I keep forgetting it, and it's one of the most important things!

MEEEE MEEEEE MEEEEE - as in a slacker....I cannot believe we have less than 6 days until we cruise.

As for packing........I have been fortunate to have been able to cruise more often than once 11 years but by no means a veteran as some of these folks are. There is the packing list, that I think is on the FAQ page, but I do as Stacey.

:surfweb:

Start with Dinners - Dress or slacks and top and shoes. I use same shoes for all nights, who cares if they match, feet are under the table. (PS - I wear a dress, Sam does not).....:rotfl:
Are you doing Pirate Night? If so, then two Dinners, one Pirate.
Add the swim stuff for Castaway Cay and the Pools. Swim googles, mask, fins - anything like that you may be bringing.
Any excursions on Nassua - do you need walking shoes, do you wear long sleeves in the sun - like me....
Did I mention swim stuff? Toss in an extra swim suit. Flops for the deck.
Are you doing any ship photos, like a family portrait where folks wear similar outfits? Or the casual ones?
Sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, did I mention the swim suit?
I take a swimsuit coverup that can double as a casual dress for being on deck.
Wine
Going to the gym at all, you will need closed in shoes. Even if you have "approved walking sandles" you will need closed in shoes.

I have long hair, I find a barrette or two works when it is wet, instead of worring about styling. Scunchies, hair conditioner, comb.

All the shampoo, make-up, toothpaste, contact lense stuff.
Power cords - sure
Extra batteries for camera, extra camera chips.
Oh yes, the CAMERA itself.....
Jewerly or not to match outfits if dress up.
PASSPORTS AND CRUISE DOCUMENTS. :lmao:as if you would forget those.
Tip Envelopes, Door signs, Fish Extender Gifts,

Spare glasses if needed...Glasses if you tend to rely on contacts.
Medications - this is one that is on the WDW page...so I guess I should include it.

Put the extra t-shirts back if you tend to buy one on the cruise, it is great for debarcation day. If you don't no one will remember if you wear the same one you boarded in. We will either be asleep or suffering from the Cocoa Beach dust. But remember to add the extra small stuff, undies - socks....we don't want to waste any of our time washing do we?

And unles I am offending someone, don't bother with the bottled water, the ship's water is fine. I do bring a water bottle, although Castaway Cay returnng gifts have included them in the past, I don't like to count on it.

Oh yes, and in my case, one very demanding Hedgehog.

THIS IS MY PACKING LIST.

WEDDING HAT
BOARDING HAT
PIRATE HAT
DINNER HAT
SAILAWAY HAT
SR. FROGS HAT
SHIP HAT

But I am not alloed to take them all

Okay men....close your eyes, skip this post....it's PINK and for the women only.....

I had a hysterectomy when I was really young, so I don't have to worry about this....but I have two daughters who never thought to keep track of "that certain time of the month" and there have been THREE times just for one daughter alone, that I had to run around and try to find "supplies" for her. I finally remembered to just pack that stuff myself, and always a "spare" in a carry on. We got onto the ship once, and found NOTHING in the ladies' rooms....thank heavens they had little brown bags at Guest Services, for just such an emergency, since the shops onboard don't open until after sailaway.

I have also encountered the same issues with DD. One would think the girls would learn - expect the unexpected.....it always happens. :bride:

A UTOP with Stacey and a girls least favorite friend...

Good Morning fellow crusers.

Today is a good day to dive, or was. Nothing like a cold brew and wings after the dive....Then home to wash the gear and try to find the snorkels.

we saw:

Carribean reef sharks
Teenage turtles, we think loggerheads..
Fish, lots and lots of fish
Sea goddess neudabranc
Queen triggers
Parrot fish
File fish
ange, fish
HUGE groupers
One reef, one wreck.

And on the surface second dive moon jellies everywhere. I have never seen so many. They were larger than a dinner plate. WOW.

More later wings are here.

I want to see pictures of the MOON JELLIES!!!

Pray there aren't ANY jellies at all for my snorkel in Nassau.:worship:

I found out my new doctor is going to be staying at Atlantis next week.
NO....I'm not going to go over there and stalk him!! :3dglasses

About halfway done with the packing. Just needed to come sit for a minute.

Been doing some little things, cleaning up the house a bit.....maybe if I leave it really clean, the family will take a hint and have it cleaned for me when I get home.

Great news!! The action in the tropics should not cause any trouble for our cruise... Looks like the 2 storms will head north and stay away from the US/Bahamas...:yay::yay: Last year we had some pretty rough seas as we were on the back end of a hurricane- Hoping that our bonine intake will be at a minimum!

The above is a link to the Bahamian radar.

Looking good......

As for Bonine your your seasick pill of choice, I guess I should have put that on the packing list of well.
I am a poor sailer and have been known to hit the dive shop in Cocoa to get my Triptone......

Happy Packing all.
Safe travels if you are leaving.
Enjoy the parks of you are there.
And a toast to our Bride and Groom couples.....

I hadn't even checked to see if there were storms, or how the weather is going to be. I guess I figured I was going no matter what.....:confused3

Really, I was going to, but now you've saved me the trouble!!

All packed! Just doing some cleaning around the house today and waiting to get on the plane tomorrow.:woohoo::yay::dance3::cheer2::cool1:

Hello from the Dream! We are keeping her warm and watered for you at the moment. Besides liking our room much better on the magic and wonder, the dream is big and lovely so far. See u thurs.

I'm anxious to see her! This will be the smallest room I've been in....but I think it will be just fine.
I'm more worried about finding my way around a newer layout.

Have fun!!!!
