Happy Memorial Day!!

And a huge thank you to all of the men and women who have served our country!

We had a memorable Memorial Day....I stopped at the cemetary and placed flags on our Fathers' graves - they both served during the war.

Thank you to all who served and those who stayed at home so others could serve.

But have to tell you - just found out my friend fell down the wet steps coming down from deck 12 to 11 on the Dream last week and DCL actually told her she would have to pay for the Dr. visit if she went. I told our mutual friend she should have argued that one and gone to medical and told them to send the ship the bill. She scraped up her elbows and had a nice bruise going across her back since her feet slipped out from under her and she went straight down and on the elbows. Sounds like she was very lucky she didn't break an elbow or dislocate her shoulder.

I have to tell you, when I was down in the Med Center, a little one up by the pool hit his head, and I was totally disgusted by the attitude of the head nurse, who had to go up and check on the little guy. She was rolling her eyes and just seemed irritated that someone DARED have an accident.

I have a feeling that if I weren't a "repeat" cruiser, they probably wouldn't have paid for my accident either. Plus, I'm certain they KNEW they were at fault. I'm betting that if it were the least bit "questionable" they'd NEVER offer to pay.

Sad day at our house. I haven't posted on Facebook yet, since I haven't gotten in touch with my oldest daughter, but our little Lhasa "Ash" passed away last night, after being attack by a coyote. He's normally in a fenced area, but unfortunately, someone left the gate open and he got out. My little buddy just turned 8 years old last month.
