Disney Dream! 8/15/2012

We don't fly in until Wednesday morning. I originally had us booked on a flight that landed at 1:00pm but started getting nervous that if there were any delays we'd miss the boat, so I changed it but the only other flight I could get departed at 6:30 am. We will leave home at 3:30 We had a similar flight last year for WDW and my kids never thought about taking a nap that day.....it was a LLLLLOOOOOOONNNNNGGGGG day!

I am working on my door decor now. I am in my Mickey PJ's drinking coffee from my Mickey mug, wearing my MM watch, and my WDW Princess purse is next to me. I think I am in the mood!!!!

Are most of us flying in on Tuesday? We are.

I've got to start getting to the laundry and packing mode too.

We are! Our flight arrives around 5:30 pm, so we probably won't be at our hotel in Cape Canaveral until close to 7:00 pm. Then it's off to the Dream in the morning!

Looking forward to meeting everyone at the get-together onboard..

We were going to drive down Tuesday evening, but the more I thought about it, it'd be easier to just leave crack of dawn Wed. morning, so that's what we are doing. Saves me driving at night (hate that) and hotel $$. Plus stress b/c even though dh says he'll hurry home from work I know I'll be pacing. This way just up at out at 5:30, we'll be there by 10:30- 11 to park and board!

ANyone know how the parking works? We were going to do the hotel shuttle, but now will just park at the terminal. I have a friend who said it's easy, here's hoping!

We haven't actually parked a car there in a long time but I'm thinking there are still plenty of signs and people directing traffic. Shouldn't be any trouble at all.

First cruise for me ,my DW has done 1 to Alaska. She'll be driving down on mon. and I'll fly and meet her on Tues. spend the night @ the Boardwalk and then drive early on Weds. We booked parking thru Cruise and park 5.99 a day and they say it's a 5 minute shuttle to the Dream!!!
I got a call from a C. M. named Cathy who said she'd meet us on the dream and that there was a DVC meet and greet @ Evolutions @ @2:30 on Weds.,,,,,

When we arrived in June via hotel shuttle because we were so early we were led in through the parking deck and entered the terminal that way. It seemed very easy and it's literally right there. There is a level that has the bridge that leads right into the terminal so if I had to choose I would choose that level if it was available only because it seemed to be the easiest?

Actually, that's pretty much my every day. I have MM earrings in gold and silver, and princess ones, a MM bracelet, MM charms for my pandora, MM flip flops, I think I have owned 4 MM watches in my life, a MM and Walt tote bag, and my Princess purse. It's pretty much an obsession. My husband says it's kind of like a cult, but let him fool you, this cruise was his idea

Oh, and I was cutting door decorations last night and have lots of extra Mickey and Mini ears and silhouettes. If I make it to the meet up I will bring my extras for anyone who wants them.

I haven't started packing yet! I just received my last minute magnet request from Milliepie (add-ons from my original request). She's the best! I've printed them up and will make them into magnets tomorrow when I get home from work. Then, I will begin to pack. (Though, I might start tonight if I find the time!) I got most of my clothes washed today. Still have to clean & tidy the house before I leave! Had the grandkids this weekend...so a bit more to clean than usual. Love having them though! Will miss them when they return to Alaska. Whatever I don't finish tomorrow, I'll have to take care of Tuesday morning. Will be heading to the airport by 1 pm!

I have a Canon SD800IS.

I'm sorry - I don't. I have a Nikon SLR charger - so that doesn't help you. I actually got me a new smaller Sony point & shoot that has the bells & whistle and is tiny - I'll miss my DSLR and the quality of the pictures but I'm looking forward to the "freedom" this time around.
