Hey Cruiser, I found out how to "subscribe"! LOL I found it under the Thread Tools. Thanks again!

As you can see, I did as you suggested and was able to post my ticker. The only problem is, I don't think it's working properly. The ship doesn't appear in the right spot, so I don't think it will be moving. ???

How do you "subscribe" to a thread? I would love to do that! I hate having to fish for this thread every time I go on!! Thanks.

I think that the ship will probably move okay. I think where it starts is probably dependant on how far out you make your ticker. For example the rest of ours were started a longer time ago and therefore our countdown pointer is closer to the middle of the ticker. Did you understand that It was kind of hard to explain.

To subscribe to a thread .... look up at the first post on this page. There is a "button" that says thread tools or something, (forgotten already and I just looked ) It is the one on the far left.

If you hover over it and look at the bottom I think it says something like subscribe to this thread? just click on that and it will be done. You will then get email notifications of posts (if you want) and you will get that little blue checkmarky thing that will help to make this thread jump out at you.

Let me know if it works.

You're probably right about the ticker. I kind of thought that might be it, but when I saw everyone else's further along...including mine that's posted on Cruise Critic...I thought maybe I did something wrong. But, hopefully, not! ...and BTW, you explained it quite nicely

And, as far as the "subscribe" option goes, I think I'm all set!

I don't tend to post much over there. I read a lot though when I am going on a cruiseline other than Disney.

Do you use the same user name over there as you have here? I don't. I wanted the chance to be "bad" and not ruin my reputation over here

Hello all! I'm a little sad to say it's official...we moved this cruise to Dec. 22, 2013 yesterday. We are going to Hawaii this June and DH said it was going to be to much $$$$ between that and cruising Aug and Dec. And I can't give up my adult only cruise in Dec. . I'll keep checking back to see where I can provide helpful info.

We booked 8/15 a while ago and I'm just know getting around to checking out the disboards for this group. This will be our 3rd Disney cruise and we're just super addicted and excited for it! Our DD will be 8, she is bringing her best friend who is 9. We are hoping to sign up for an FE exchange.

Looks like I've got a bit of catch up reading to do on this thread! I wonder how many of us are on here, and who might be heading up an FE (if there is an interest) and any other fun things? Any way we do a sticky at the top of this thread??

OK, going back into hibernation - I've got taxes, house cleaning and other non-fun things on my list today! But thinking of this cruise is making me feel somewhat better.

Kim I'm glad to hear that you are still able to come cruising with us. It wouldn't be the same without you. I'm looking forward to meeting up with all of my friends again.

I have participated in several Fish Extender events but so far no one has decided to organize one for this cruise. Usually someone will organize it and run it through the original thread.

How can it be common for 100s to participate on most cruises and then all of a sudden, come 8/15/12, there isn't enough participation interest to generate any FE at all?

Fish extenders groups can differ a lot from cruise to cruise. Some cruises have a really large and active disboards thread and some are very quiet or almost non-existant. You never know what will happen.

I have participated in a few fish extender events but most of them have been quite small, maybe 10 or so cabins. I don't think I'd want to join in to a really large one.

Gifts don't have to be anything major either, just some small thing that represents where you are from, or something that will help to make someone's cruise a better experience. For those of us who have to fly, it is important to find easy to pack items.
