Received my cruise documents yesterday!

Just joining. I have spent the last 5 days reading all the forums. I have been a Mickey freak my whole life, been to WDW 7 times, the most recent was in February where I ran the Princess Half Marathon. This will be our first DCL cruise. DH and I cruised once in '97 with my family on Celebrity and have wanted to cruise again ever since.

I believe my daughter ran the Princess Half Marathon as well! She plan on doing the Castaway Cay 5K on this cruise. Do you? She wants the shirt to add to her collection.

We are a bit north of the Chatham area. It is approximately halfway between London and Windsor.

I missed the deadline on the fish extender exchange and feel bummed that we will not be participating in this Disney cruise "tradition". Since it's my kiddo who really loves the exchange - helping with the gift ideas, making deliveries (seeing all the neat holders and door decorations), coming back to goodies in our bag - I'm thinking what about a separate little FE exchange for kiddos? If a handful of folks are interested, we could do a...

Last-minute, first-ever, kids-only "Guppy Gift Exchange"!

Suggested gifts: fun kiddie things like notepads, souvenirs, toys, favors, glow sticks, etc...; no more than $1-$5 in value.

Deadline to sign-up: Sunday, 7/22. This will give one week to decide, and 3-4 weeks to prepare. If interested, please PM me with:

- your name (as a point of contact)
- cabin number
- child's first name
- child's age
- any special interests or notes (i.e., food allergies)

This sounds like a nice idea.

We have no children with us but I'm sure that those with children would enjoy having a special "guppy" exchange .

I'm in! Was bummed about missing out this time around too. I'll PM you my info, although don't have our stateroom number yet (we're VGT and should have it a couple weeks before we sail). Thanks for stepping up to organize this! My DS will be thrilled! (and well, it's a ton of fun for me too).

I'm not sure if I will have time to do the CC5K or not. I need to look into it more. I have been injured so not able to run at all since Feb. I am hoping to get cleared VERY soon though.

We just got our documents this week too. I was so excited!! I was going to go through and print everything this week and now I don't need to do it because DCL took my OCD into consideration and did it for me

We are late to the party because we did something completely nutty last night before midnight ~ we booked this cruise due to the great OGT that was available My DH and I thought it through and since we had free flights with SWA and DS is still out of school we decided to go for it.

This is completely outside of my "planner personality" since we booked our last Dream cruise 14 months out and we talked about it and counted down forever then it was all over We were on the June 20-24 sailing and it was so awesome!! We specifically booked an aft verandah and of course knew our cabin for the get go so not having a clue where we will be feels so different! BUT that shows you how much fun we had last time. I can't wait to see where we end up like many of you

I'm with you - we jumped on the VGT rate and it's absolutely killing me not to know where our room is!! (we sailed the Dream over Thanksgiving last year and knew everything about the room!) But I know we'll have a blast and are getting more and more excited each day.

My DH has gone looney-he's been talking about booking another cruise when we're on board, sailing in March (DS's spring break).

Would you like in on the sub-group for a kiddie fish extender exchange? See mootmoot's post from yesterday.

The CC5K is open to everyone and is not a timed race. It is more for fun. You get a medal at the end of the race...and you can purchase a T-shirt. There is a seperate thread here on the disboards about it.

My daughter had injured her knee and was also unable to run for a while also, but has done a couple of races since. She usually still has some knee pain by the end of the race, and ends up icing her knee. She figures, eventually, she will need to have knee surgery done; but, in the meantime, she continues to run!

Glad to hear that you received your documents. Can't believe that we have less than a month to go! It's good to see more people joining us here on the Cruise Meet board. The excitement continues to build!

Thanks for the warm welcome! It feels so different not having any idea of where we will be, but we're going to be on the Dream so that's what matters to us the most!

I appreciate the offer for the kiddie FE but we'll likely pass. We had an awesome time doing it for the June cruise and also had plenty of time to get prepared for it. We told ourselves we wouldn't do it this time due to the short turn around time. Again, thanks for the offer and I hope you guys have a blast!

Sorry folks. The final list for the FE is on page 12 of this thread and I am looking forward to seeing everyone soon. I can't believe it's almost here all my gifts are complete and starting to pack.

Sorry, the FE Group finalized as of June 1st. There is someone on this thread (mootmoot) who is trying to get together a Guppy Extender Group going for children of those who joined this thread late. You can PM her with your info. (She's located toward the top of this page I believe.) Or, maybe if there is enough interest, you can get a second FE Group going for those late-comers who are interested; though, it doesn't give you much time. ???
