Welcome aboard, Mr. Bill and family.

Make sure that you all try to make it to the little get together that we are having the first afternoon onboard.

Jut booked our room at the Radisson for the night before- we're driving down and they have a thing that for $30 you can leave your car there and get a shuttle to and from the hotel :)

What is the earliest you can check in/get on the boat? When I did my on-line check in it said I didn't need to reserve a time, that we could board when we got there, so I want to try to get there asap :D

Doing passports this week- gotta do the expedited at this point- does anyone have the card instead of the book? That seems the cheaper (and easier to carry!) option, I just hadn't ever heard of it!

You're in a Concierge level room, right? I'm thinking that's why you don't have an assigned time...that and Platinum level members get that, I think. The terminal opens at 11 I believe. Actually, I'm not 100% certain there! You'd be able to board soon after it opens or whenever you arrive.

Actually, I think it opens at 10:30.

Yes, it's a concierge room-11th floor. Thanks so much for the info!

Why do you need an appt? :confused3 Here in Chicago, the USPS processes applications and it's done by mail. :thumbsup2

I had to go in person too...my passport was over 15 years old (I need to travel more!)...and it was our son's first application. Getting an appointment was a pain, but once we got there, it was pretty quick! We just had to wait for a wedding ceremony to be over because they were having it where the passport pictures are taken! That was pretty funny, actually...

I am so ready for this vacation!::yes:: ::yes::

I hope the weather is good.. I dont mind hot, Id just rather not get the trop. storms. Ive been keeping taps on them on the weather station, and its looking good so far tho.:thumbsup2

We didnt need an apt. either for our passports...Just went to the PO, for our first one and the court House for our second back in 2007. We were told we could have just renewed by mail, but going in person got them to us faster...We are good now until 2016..:yay:

Its laundry day for me here:laundy:...and cleaning:cheer2: (<--- Me dusting)

We had a wonderful weekend weatherwise, sunny and in the high 80s. Spent the afternoon swimming in the lake and the evening celebrating my Grandsons Billy Birthday!....Good times!

Its another beautiful day here today :sunny:
Lovin it!:cool2::goodvibes...

A cool thing!... As I was saying good bye to Mike this morning... and in the yard were a mama and two fawns... They didnt even run away until Mike turned the car around.... Sooo cute!, but one of the poor lil fawns was limping pretty badly:confused: Hope its just a sprain and not a brake... It wont survive if its hadicapped...:sad2:... Ill have to keep an eye out for it...They have been here a couple of times, so we must be part of their home turf... Ill try to get some photos the next time I see them..:thumbsup2

Well Im off to finish my laptop work, then start the lovely housework...

Wishing you all a good day!:wizard:

You guys are lucky with your passports. Ours here in Canada need to be renewed every 5 years. Pain in the butt but not really all that difficult to do. Took me all of 10 minutes at the passport office to get mine done and then it arrived in the mail one week later:thumbsup2 I think that I timed the visit to the office just right because it was not busy at all when I went. We don't need appointments and also we can do ours by mail if we choose.

Lovely hot weather here lately also. I'm enjoying it immensely. By sailing in the summer instead of the winter, I don't think I will care too much about sitting in the sun on the ship, got plenty of sun here at home :sunny:

I would prefer to avoid those tropical storms though, at least until we are on the ship and away. :boat:

It is a holiday here today. Yesterday was Canada Day, the equivalent of your 4th of July, the birthday of our country. I don't know exactly what I will find to occupy my time with but having moved in the last year there is no end of things that can be accomplished.

Have a great day everyone.

Ack! Exciting, but we haven't even gone for our passports yet- the hours for appointments are terrible! We'll likely not go until next week...

But I am still super excited :D :cheer2:

I know our Post office has terrible hours for passports too. We ended up going to a passport night our local town office puts on every other month. At least it was in the evening. I can relate -Good luck!:)

Aww how cute. I don't have any deer here, but my mom (1.5hrs away) has them so bad the town had to "bait & shoot" because they just aren't enough wooded areas for them all. So sad, they are so peaceful and gentle animals.
