DISNEY DREAM 5-nights May 29th, 2011

I just looked at the forecast up to next Friday night when we leave. Tomorrow is the first and only sunny and rainless day we will see before we leave.

Our last Disney cruise was on the Magic in May 2009... I was looking thru the pictures this morning and came across the embarkation day pic of the girls. Thought I'd share. Someone was talking about time flying recently.... so true!!

I know it could change.......But, I checked weather.com and our arrival day in Orlando for Sat May 28th shows sunshine and 89......Only a 10% chance of rain

That would be perfect!!!!

It is currently raining here and very cool for May!!!

Oh I pray for sunshine . I was in Disney a few weeks ago and it was warm but not enough for me - I was freezing everywhere and went in to the pool once.
Philatiger -- are you kidding? I thought the weekend was supposed to be sunny and I didn't look after that. I cannot handle all this rain. ugh. Then it really better be sunny.
Looking at your picture I was wondering if you went on an eastern carib. cruise 2 years ago - - you look familiar.

I have no idea how to download pictures and I can't find many anyway. When I switched to my laptop it all got lost......around the same time I lost my brain power. But I look a little like the picture with my husband except my hair is short. My sister is shorter than me with shortish hair - I think - I haven't seen her in 2 years :).

Wow - people are writing a lot now -- I gotta go find an old post to get info - silly me for waiting. I Hope myTA caught onto the Palo openings. I'll be peeved if she didn't.

I sound grouchy --its the rain :). Life isn't going well so I just am holding on to this cruise. It's my 60th birthday celebration and the first one went poorly.

Time to sign on til I cheer up

Sandy

We did the eastern in 2008 and the western this past October. 2009 we did the eastern on NCL Pearl.

Forecast here for the weekend keeps changing. I just want to get a little sun so I don't get fried.

 loving all the pictures! I don't have a lot of myself as I am the photographer and I am not a fan of getting mine taken, but this one is from last New Years Eve after a few glasses of champagne :rotfl:
OMG is that gray hair??? I think its s till there:rotfl2:

I dunno, ya look pretty blonde to me! Actually, you look really familiar--wonder where I met you (or your twin) before?

It's been great chatting with everyone this past year and a half. It's a shame we won't get to meet each other and see the dream..........

The world is coming to an end tomorrow and I will most likely turn to dust......:rotfl: I pity the person who has to clean me up....

NOOOOOOO!!! Can't happen yet!! I have too many things still on my bucket list!!! Wait, if the world is coming to an end, there won't be a mess much less anyone to clean you up! We'll all be specks floating around the cosmos.

That is really going too P*SS me off if the world ends before I board the Dream:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
Think happy thoughts!!!!!:rolleyes1

Yeah!!! What she said!!!

On an offshoot of this... what's our plan post cruise? Does our thread disappear? Because I'd love to see our group keep chatting for awhile (assuming the rapture does NOT happen :lmao: ), sharing some pics, stories, etc. Thoughts?

I'm not Arnold, but I'll be back (said in my best Terminator voice)

Yeah no kidding.... I'm all about heaven but I'd be a little upset too! I told my neighbor once that I hope those who say it will happen soon are wrong, because I've got about 50 years of DVC points to use. She said "I think heaven will be better than DVC".... Well, yeah maybe...but I still want to stick around and enjoy my Disney awhile longer! :dance3:

Ditto!! I haven't used all of next year's points yet!!!

I feel you pain...:sad2: Been cool and rainy her for the past week and calling for rain chances everyday till wednesday...:sad2: I sure hope Florida sunshine is waiting for us next weekend....:beach::beach::beach:

What IS it with this cool weather? I seem to remember frequently getting fried in May in past years! In fact, vividly remember one Mother's Day, falling asleep on the deck for a couple of hours and ending up looking like a lobster for days!

Looked at the 10 day forecast all the way down to FLORIDA & it's rain all the way. We are driving.:scared1:

OK, sending off a quick message to the man upstairs....PLEASE blow away the clouds and let the sun shine in!

Amen to that!!!

Get a free photobucket account. There is a "now" button. Click it and it will bring up a window. Click on "select photos and video." A window pops up for you to locate your picture on your hard drive. Select the picture. If you double click it, it will automatically upload. Once it uploads to photobucket, when you view your picture, there is a box that says "Share this photo." You want to click on the IMG code. It will copy. Then you paste into the disboards message.

Thanks, need all the help we can get. I hate driving in the rain especially when there are a lot of tractor trailers around. We will be leaving PA at about 7 or 8 Friday night & driving all night. Florida is the only state along our route that didn't have rain in the forecast. Dh & I will be taking turns at the wheel. It is over 1000 miles down.

On the way home we will be detouring over to Georgia to Forrest Hill Resorts and going to Gold N Gem Grubbin on Saturday & Sunday. We will be leaving Monday for the rest of the trip home. dH is a little disappointed that I didn't schedule WDW before or after the cruise, which is what we have done in the past, but I heard about the gold & gem thing and it sounded interesting + it gets us a little closer to home, too. On Monday we will only have about 14 hours if we head straight home, but we may decide to stay over in Baltimore, MD Monday night and then finish the drive on Tuesday. It's only 4 hours home from there and my oldest brother & his wife live nearby, so we may get a short visit in with them.

The older we get, the harder it is to do the straight through without stopovers.

I am finally home from work- the kids were able to blow off steam outside for a while thanks to the rain stopping for a while. The pulled out the 'crayola sidewalk PAINT' so I have half blue / half orange kids. They look like Oompa Loompa's.....

LAZY night for me tonight- ordered Chinese for supper. While I was waiting for it to be ready I put my Oompa Loompa's in the car and hit McDonald's for Happy Meals (they don't eat Chinese) and now I am sitting here after way too many sesame spareribs and hot and spicy wontons just catching up. Once the kids are in bed I'll pour a glass of wine and veg out on the couch. I keep saying "tonight I'm going to start packing" but I know me too well. I'll do it all next Saturday. I always do, and it takes me approximately an hour and I'm done... then DH takes the bags and rearranges them so one doesn't weigh 10 lbs while the other weighs 75!!!! :rotfl:

He reminded me that when we went on our first 7 night Disney Cruise - which happened to be our honeymoon 10 yrs ago 2 wks before Christmas - my suitcase cost him an additional $75 because it weighed too much!!! I've been warned......
