DISNEY DREAM 5-nights May 29th, 2011

Checked out a couple of 4 night navigators--January 30th cruise didn't show it at all, April 10th cruise navigator shows it at 3:00PM on Nassau day. I guess we'll just have to wait till we get onboard to find out the exact details. Rather than wait to find it in the navigator, I plan to check with Guest Services right after boarding and I will share any info I am able to obtain at the meets (afternoon AND evening). For the listing on the roll call, why not put something like "Champagne Tasting Meet (tiaras optional) Day & time TBA--see Guest Services or your personal navigator onboard. Nominal Fee"

Thanks, I'll update the roll call.

Just a reminder to keep checking the roll call for updated Meet n Greets pre-cruise and on the ship.

Thanks for the cake compliments! I can't wait to eat the darn thing :)

anybody doing anything exciting this weekend? I know callieline.g is partying her little bacherlorette self, what are the rest of you up to?

I went to blurb to look at the journals. Kinda made my brain hurt. Is there one ready-made thats already artsyfartsy cutesywootsy?

Me too! I was SO confused I couldn't even FIND a journal!!! I was at the right place right???? How did those of you who made a journal 'make' a journal??? After 30 minutes or so of going round and round I gave up!!! DS (7) has to 'journal' his trip for school (in lieu of taking homework) - at this point we're looking at a spiral bound notebook or one of those black and white "composite" books. :scared1:

MARK!!! Great to finally virtually 'meet' you!!!

Tomorrow is the BIG DAY everyone!!! DS's first holy communion. Let's all pray (to which ever diety you choose to) that he will NOT throw up all over his white suit (yes, we are having gagging, horrible face making issues with any practice eucharists - non blessed of course!! You would think we were poisoning the kid!!! All he does is complain that "it's bland" and "gross". Heaven knows how tomorrow will go!!!) Wish Us Luck!!! I will check back in tomorrow evening once all the hoopla settles. All I know is when it's over I am 100% in CRUISE MODE!!!!!!!

OMG--- I don't mean to find this funny (I feel your pain ) but I can totally picture my middle DS doing this to me next year, I never considered it but now that you bring it up I'm starting to get a little scared- he gags on everything he finds not great!

Here ya go:

Good luck and Congratulations on you son's first Holy Communion. I remember my girls' at that age at their communions. We had a family white dress that 4 of their cousins wore. May God bless you all on this special day :)

I made a journal using pages created by designers on the creative board (mostly milliepie). I used the soft bound blank book and added the pages. I have to confess I had to watch the long tutorial to figure it out. It still took me awhile to get the hang of it.

Thanks Chuck for the instructions on multi-quoting. This is my first multi post.

I have a wedding to go to on Sunday. It should be nice, but is it wrong that I want to stay home and get the vacation clothes out & packed, and finish last min. stuff?? :rotfl: Well, at least it's a family wedding so we'll be with my siblings and mum.

I thought it was me (about the blurb jounals) as I looked at the site a couple weeks ago and played around but didn't get it.:confused3 Glad to find out others thought the same!

Oh, I had a lovely pedi and mani today! So relaxing! And OPI had Pirates of the Caribbean colors too! I didn't get them as 2 were missing so don't know what they look like and 1 purlpe and a gray and a greenish-gray ? not very summery and wouldn't look good w/ my dress for the wedding. I was still excited to see them!:rotfl2:

Denise and Angie, you know Milliepie here on the DIS designs journal pages, don't you? Much easier than going to a commercial website. Take a look at what she has available: http://www.4shared.com/dir/19077581/4fa6c900/sharing.html You can help yourself to any of her stuff, just so long as you don't try to claim you created it. Give credit where credit is due, ya know.

Well I wouldn't call it exiting exactly but I just got on here today for the first time at 10 pm. We had a big Car Show today which is a fund raiser for my DD band. It is really big with around 350 cars & trucks and we do a silent auction, games, concessions, etc. with it. I ran a cash register for concessions from 6:30 am til around 3:30 pm today. My whole extended family pretty much works all day and everyone was BEAT by the time we were done! Not that it was hard work, but I hadn't run a cash register for 27 years, so a little rusty on that! Turned out good though; we raised lots of money for the band and nothing really went wrong that I know of. Last big school event now cleared from calendar.

Straight on to packing & FE construction! :thumbsup2

Good luck -- I remember mine so long ago---we practiced with necco wafers -- all prayers for a clean and happy First Communion...

Thanks for the link...so did u print the pages at home or upload them for a hardbound book somewhere or what? I'm on my iPhone so can't look real close now but would love to get something thrown together!

How did you print the pages? Mine are coming out blurry :confused3

I used Avery Dark T-Shirt Transfers....when I printed, I set it as Photo print on my printer. Let the transfers dry for about 1/2 hour, then peeled (that is the hardest part), lined up, put the included wax paper cover over the iron on, set the timer for 2 minutes, then ironed on.....worked perfectly....the smaller name tags were 40 seconds instead of 2 minutes since they were smaller and the iron was on them the entire time. I practiced on an old shirt first, then once I felt confident, went for the new shirts we bought.

In Florida now to help my parents since my Mom is really sick and not doing well. I had a bunch of little gifts for the kids already, but was trying to figure out what to get the adults.... Had to go to the store for some things and my Dad told me to take my time, relax and take time for myself....Mom had her pain meds and was sleeping...Was able to go out to a few stores and found the perfect gift for all the families on the FE list....went to one store, bought out their stock, then had them call another store, and in the end, had the exact number I needed! Will be putting together everyone's FE here in Florida, before I head back up to GA, work for a few days, then come back down for vacation! 2 more weeks!!!! See you all soon!

It was a whirl wind of a day for us. DW graduated from college this morning with her middle school math teachers degree. Hopefully a good job is around the corner (after the cruise of course).

Then the DW and I spent alot of time this evening finishing our FE gifts. All of the cabin and kid gifts are done now. Just have to rent a forklift to get them to the ship now.

Tomorrow, we have two flag football games for DS. Everyone have a great weekend.

Bill

Bill....Congrats to DW for her graduation!!! So glad there are people out there who still want to teach!

As far as FE gifts....whew...that's all on me....DW said something before I left for FL about 10-15 families....Now it is 46 :rotfl2: Glad I have it all under control! And right now, I have my 2006 Mustang Convertible sitting there filled with FE's....have to make sure there is enough room when we travel!

So can you just imagine him throwing up in church all over that gorgeous suit!

Don't you just love his teeth??? We call them his "Mater" teeth because to me, they look like they belong to Mater (Cars movie).

I am SO JEALOUS of all of you with so much done!!! MUST get my back-side in gear this week!!!!
