DISNEY DREAM 5-nights May 29th, 2011

I have a carry on bag that I am already packing. Putting in the door magnets, fish extender, swimming googles and all. We are going to MK on Saturday before the cruise and spending Fri and Sat nights at All Star Movies. Hopefully Buzz Lightyear's bldg for DS.

We're staying at the airport Hyatt precruise - weather permitting maybe anyone else want to meet for drinks at the pool around 8pm?

I don't have an actual suitcase out yet, but I have "the basket" going. I have an old laundry basket that I start putting things in ahead of time like the power strip, little fan, etc.

Packing List: I always pack some ziploc bags in all sizes including the giant ones. They always come in handy. I also take a small fan since we don't have a balcony and it really helps circulate the air.

Can't believe we only have 25 days to get everything together!

We're not staying at BLT this year, BUT, the day we get off the ship I believe is my 11 month mark for our return trip, and we WILL be staying at BLT then whoohoo!

I am planning too grab some Old Navy flip flops this evening...They are easy too slip on and wear around the ship and beach... 2 pair for $5

I started doing my Zumba tapes again...Trying too do those 3 days per week and walking at work too...DD got a trampoline for her Birthday and I try and jump 15 min in the evening and that is a killer!!!!

Crunch time.........25 more days till we leave for Orlando!

Be careful on that trampoline. My niece got one for her son and she decided to try it and she broke her toe. Don't need any broken bones before the cruise.

Woohoo! We're staying at BLT for a week after the cruise! This is our all out trip, because I'm afraid we might move and not be able to go to WDW as often, so we're doing Radisson, Dream, BLT for a week, CSR for 2 days (just couldn't leave WDW on a Friday, plus it was a great Passholder rate).

Can I ask what you guys ordered and what it cost? I'm thinking about doing this for the girls... the kicker is ordering a basket that doesn't bust the budget while providing goodies for both a 4 and 7 yr old at the same time!

Hi Angie, I had made note of a few things I wanted to get for DD(5)'s basket. Ended up being more than I was thinking but only because I decided to be a nice DW and order my DH a bottle of Crown Royal for the room

So for $200 we are getting - mickey duffle, pirate stuff, small bucket with sand toys, movie snacks, water bottle for DD, Mickey coloring book and crayons, glow sticks, tattoos, goldfish, gummie bears and a 12 pack of Pepsi for me. That includes tax & the $14 delivery fee they pay DCL.

I think it'll be well worth the cost & Emily will be thrilled to have a present from Mickey. If you gave them a budget, I'm sure they'd have lots of ideas that would be great for your little ones.

Alright! I did it! I had been thinking about the Shirley basket thing for awhile.... this is our 3rd DCL and I've never done it, but I'm so excited! AND I am not telling my family about it

I went with the Large Sand Pail option: large sand pail, 8 sand molds/toys, 2 shovels, 8 drinks, 8 bags of chips, 2 fruit snacks, 2 movie candies, 2 pkgs cookies, 4 tattoos. Total including delivery was $62, which really, I didn't think was unreasonable really at all.

Not that we NEEDED those snacks, etc...but the girls will be happy to have some Capri suns, it will be great having some toys for the beach, and really, what i was paying for, was the thrill of the surprise. I'm so excited!

Angie, sorry about replying late (well actually it's only been a day...) Anyway, we had a budge of $125 and just kept adding until we got there. Let's see I went with a Tote bag, mesh beach bag, sand pail and shovel, 6 capri sun, 2 cheetos, 2 fritos, 2 starburst, gum, altoids, raisenettes, skittles, mag for DH, frisbee, 2 water bottles. Really, it's because I'm lazy, I didn't want to carry this stuff on board, my DH would flip if I packed these things in the suitcase. He already thinks I bring too much

I've been TOTALLY MIA from here for the longest time..don 't think I posted here since last year!

I'm been trying to catch up with all the posts!

We can't wait to go! My two boys (8 and 10) are SO excited (as are my wife and I)

We are staying at the Radisson for 3 nights before the cruise....figure we go to the beach, pool, Space Center, etc before the Cruise

Who else will be at the Radisson?

Even though I'm late to the party, if there are some meets before hand or on the ship, it would be great to be a part of them!

I'll be there Sat. night, not sure who else is. We'll have to meet up for a pool side tropical drink

We're at Radisson too. We arrive on Friday. Plan on going to Kennedy Space Center on Sat. We should have a mini meet too! Probably by the pool in the evening?

Your shirts look great and love the wrist bands. We need to figure out a way for those who aren't able to make the M&G at 3:00 to get the wrist bands at the 10:00 M&G. Are you planning on attending both? We are still not sure if we can make the 3:00. Depends on what time the DCL bus gets us to the port. I could always meet you somewhere before dinner to pick up some to take with me at 10. Let me know what you think.

I'm actually getting quite close to giving up on getting a shirt done. You will all just have to look for me by my wristband and bubbling personality.

I'm on a roll with the FEs though the teen crowd is still kinda throwing me for a loop. Hm.

Dr started me on some kick-butt antibiotics to fight (yet another) sinus infection. Hope it will get me in tiptop sinus shape for the trip.

Yup, I cheated this time. But I've learned that the iron ons make the shirts a little less breathable. So we swelter in the iron on shirts during the summer. So for the summers, I usually try to do tie dies and silk screen shirts. And in the winter I do the iron-on's. So these were made via vistaprint. I've still got to get the family to "decorate" the vinylmation shirts.

Wow, Virginia, I am so impressed - everything looks great !

I went all out with our last cruise - the magnets, super specific FE gifts, lime green ribbon everywhere, matching name tags, matching shirts - the whole nine! I think I ended up spending almost as much as I paid for one of our rooms on all the "extras" ! This time I decided I will do one fun FE per room which will take a lot less time to prepare and save a lot of room in my suitcase, Payton and I are going to have matching embarkation tshirts, bought from Disney.com with the gift cards I got at Sam's ($100 + $10 for $98, great value!), and the name tags that Virginia so graciously designed for us ! I'm finished and I'm a lot saner at this point in the process than I was before the last cruise too ! I may make a few magnets if I still have supplies left over from last time, but honestly we've got baseball on 14 of the next 23 days so I don't really have a lot of time to work with. I'm trying to stay as calm as possible before our vacation so I can really enjoy it instead of using it to recover from the stress of getting ready for it !

I got DS a large sand pail from Shirley on our last cruise - he loved it. I'm planning on ordering a joint gift this time - some bottled water and beers for me, some movie snacks for the both of us, some capri-sons for DS and maybe a few other treats if I can think of anything else we may need. Everyone there is really nice and really easy to work with.

Angie - I hope you feel better real soon!

I'm sure there are other people I wanted to reply to, but I've been interrupted and now I can't remember what I was going to say !
