DISNEY DREAM 5-nights May 29th, 2011

So it's official- Disney has changed the height requirements to ride the Aquaduck - 42" to ride with an adult, and 54" to ride alone. Ages 7 and under must ride with someone 14 or older. DD who is 44" is VERY excited!!

Now I'm having the HARDEST time deciding between a 50 minute Sweedish massage (for $118) or a 50 minute Bamboo massage (for $159). I can get a sweedish massage at the local spa, but will never be able to get a Bamboo massage so I'm tempted.

Then of course there's the Absolute Spa Ritual:
Duration 100 min
Price $249
This treatment consists of a Pro Collagen Marine Facial which includes a collagen-infused Japanese silk mask that helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while restoring skin elasticity and deeply nourishing the skin. Top it off with a full body Swedish Massage to sooth away any additional tension. :cloud9:

Now THAT sounds like the ultimate in vacation, however, with that price tag I might end up in BIG trouble with the hubby!! This is the time when I wish I could just pay CASH and he wouldn't have a clue how much it is!!!!

You might be able to have it removed from the card on file and added to another one if you want to be sneaky.... :rolleyes1 We did that for a few items on our last cruise and didn't have a problem...:thumbsup2

Looking at the Swedish massage too, but I would really like a full deep tissue but they don't offer it.

 So excited my dd will get to ride now!

I have no idea what a bamboo massage is.

oohhh...I looked at the bamboo massage too...I think it's a little different than the regular swedish. IMO :goodvibes I say you can't lose with whichever one you pick!

Just an idea can you perhaps put some $$$ on your account so when the total bill at the end comes in it's less?:confused3

PS- I finally paid off the cruise!!! Now hoping to snag a brunch ressie at Palo!

I just don't want it to show up on our account bcos I won't hear the end about what a waste of $$ it is...and my Dooney & Bourke bag on top of it? He'll toss me over the verandah! I have the money... He just doesn't know it!

Brunch at Palo is all booked but I am going to keep trying in the event something opens up.

gotcha ya-- these DH's!!! :rotfl::rotfl: I do the same sometimes, they just don't get it. You need the massage to relax no matter the cost. it's vacation- right??!!:rotfl: There has to be a way...um, like others posted, a different card and pay it off at guest services. why do they make it so hard to be sneaky?

I'm doing the same about brunch- or we'll all be running to book it on the ship -1st thing!

:rotfl2: Problem is I don't need THAT much enabling!! I think I'm going to talk to my mom and ask her if I can just put it on HER ship board account and pay her. Hmmmm..... then DH will wonder why there is NO spa charge on OUR account so I guess I'll just have to go TWICE!!! :rotfl:

What ever I decide- I have to figure it out today because I'm booking something TOMORROW when my window opens up. My goal was to stay up to midnight tonight so I could snag my brunch ressie but if there aren't any available, then why torture myself.

Now my next decision is WHEN to go to the spa- I'm thinking Nassau day or CC Day#2 right after lunch. By then the kids are usually beached out and we like to get them inside, cleaned up and cooled off. I think I'm personally going to shoot for the Nassau day. If we do get off the boat it will only be to do some very local / close to the boat shopping. I like to hit Del Sol and DH likes to hit the liquor store and get a few cubans to enjoy on the ship (PEW! Those damn things stink- I don't understand how someone who doesn't smoke likes to puff on a cuban :confused3 ). Oh well, he only does it when we cruise.

I've been so busy, I forgot to pay our trip off on Friday. Just made a payment, but Dreams Unlimited has our res and says it will be processed next business day. At least I know I am already out of the running for the brunch.

Should I book Palo's or Remy for dinner? We ate at V&A's once and loved it, so I am thinking Remy.

Well, I stayed up on the chance that a brunch would open up, no luck. But we did get Palo dinner for the last night. Figured this would not interfere with us being able to eat in each of the rotational dining rooms.

Booked spa treatments on Nassau day, Swedish massages were almost all booked up.

Good luck everyone. I hope you get all the dining and shore excursions you are hoping for. pixiedust:

I booked Palo for the last night too. I figured this would be a nice, relaxing way to end the vacation. I also booked early enough that we can eat and then go sit with the kids at their 8:30 dinner to give our servers their tips. I think that's the night they always do the flag parade which is always nice too. I wish we knew for sure what was going on each night (shows & dinners) for our 5 night double dip. It would make it easier to plan. I was surprised at how many options were still available for Palo dinner.

Booked my bamboo massage for Nassau day - at 8am. :scared1: I'll be there but I might not be pretty!!! Only other option was 6pm. Could have done CC day#2 but that is 4th day of cruise and I wanted it sooner!

Couldn't get jetski ressies and of course Palo brunch / tea is all out as well. Oh well- will try once on board, and if not, there's plenty else to kepe me busy!!!

Kids both registered - but I couldn't access any of my online check in docs. Was anyone else able to?? The page only had the Goofy movie but nothing else there. :confused3 I'll try again tomorrow.

Do you guys think Pirate night will be on our first Castaway Cay night???

Maybe I should book Palo our last night...Would be a nice way too end the vacation???

I just don't want too interfere with Pirate night.....:confused3

Booked my Castaway Cay cabana massage too for our first day at the Island.

Has anyone had a massage on CC? Do they have showers to wash off the sand and suntan lotion before hand? I am a big beach person and I will already be on the beach before my massage.

I think so...This is one reason why I decided too schedule it for 10:00am and then I can have lunch and lounge on the beach in total relaxation the rest of the day sipping a pina'colada!!! ahhhh wish I was there now....:beach:

Can not wait too find out!!!:goodvibes

I called DCL and they have not decided or announced which night will be Pirate night. My guess would be the sea day. My first guess would have been Tuesday, after Nassau, but we don't need to be back on the ship until 7:00PM which would interfere with the early kids show.

That's why we booked Palo for Thursday night, figured it was safe.

Nassau we are in port till 7pm so some people might not make the 6pm dinner. That makes me feel a little better about my decision.:goodvibes

I have called twice and they keep telling me the same thing?? How can they not know??:confused3

It would make things a lot easier when planning....

I am just glad too have my Palo dinner set...We are dining at 6:30 so we can take the kids and get them settled at dinner at 6pm if they want too eat in the dining room. Both are 13 so they can dine alone while we are in Palo or just skip dinner and hang in the teen room.:thumbsup2

We booked cat 8 gty. We were assigned stateroom 7020. I was hoping for an upgrade, but that didn't happen.
