The in-laws are in Gloucester and also in Suffolk.
My MIL went on our first two cruises with us, but won't be joining us anymore, as she is now suffering from memory loss. Two of my SILs have joined us also. This is the first one we are doing just the four of us!

Your son must be a good Dr.!! I have a cousin who at Mayo doing a fellowship or something.

You are so lucky to get another Cavie!!! Ours is blenheim too, but less white on him.

As you all know I'm sure, the Dream arrived in Port Canaveral today so my family and I drove over to have lunch at Grills (very good) and get our first live look at the ship. She is spectacular and just gorgeous!

Those of you who have sailed Disney before will know what I'm talking about here. Those of you who have never been will soon discover this thrill. Coming over the last hump in the road before the turnoff to the terminal and getting that first real glimpse of the ship is just a sight to behold. I've been know to shed a tear or two. Seeing the Dream today just took by breath away!

The difference in the height and length, compared to the Wonder and Magic, is clearly noticeable along with the changes forward and aft making it truly not only one of the "big" ships at sea but the most beautiful one of them all!

Oh my gosh, those pictures and videos I've seen are amazing!!!

We were watching a video, saying oh, that sure is a dream! and my DD7 came in and said, "I wish I had a dream that I was on the Dream, and then went on the Dream and had a dream!"

She will soon enough, she just doesn't know it yet!!

Hi! I just wanted to introduce myself This will be our fourth Disney cruise and we're super excited to go on the Dream! Our last one was in March 2010 on the Wonder. I just placed the cruise on hold and am paying tomorrow once a check goes through. We are booked for a category 5E guarantee, so who knows where we'll wind up

Anyway, we always participate in the FE exchange, and would love to sign up again. It will be me (Michelle, 37), my daughter (Emily, 6) and my daughter's godfather (Jason, 39). As soon as I know my stateroom assignment, I'll be sure to post it.

Oh, and in case anyone wonders, my user name is made up. I don't really have a daughter named Brooke. She's my niece. I was a very active member of the DIS since 2006, and my ex-boyfriend made fun of me for being on it and decided it would be funny to make up a fake account and post rude things, thus getting both of us banned since I had logged into the DIS at one point from his computer. It was a really sad day because I actually had "real" tags from the tag fairy and everything Anyway, just wanted to explain in case anyone was confused

Welocome aboard We love DCL vacations. Our last one was a 14 night WBTA on the Magic in Sept.

Hopefully somone on this thread wil organize a "meet" that way we will be able to put faces to names.

I don't know how I haven't found this thread before! We will be joining you on the Dream and are so excited, I can't believe how close it is now.

I'm Jules and will be cruising with my husband Ian, its a 40th birthday celebration for me! We live in South Wales in the UK. We have sailed on the Wonder five times, all three or four nighters, our most recent in October of last year.

I'm so sorry that I am late to the party. We have never participated in FE and to be honest I am really nervous about getting the pressies wrong, what sorts of things to people give as gifts?

You all should check out this thread. These people were on the cast member preview cruise on the Dream!! Lots of great pictures and info! It got me even MORE excited!!! Two months from tonight we're hitting the road!!

Jules/saratogagirl - welcome! Some ideas for FE gifts - little trinkets, candy, anything Disney, we gave ornaments from our home state last year (it was Dec.), we received pencils, puzzles, card games, magnets, CDs, candy, tote bags, hair accessories, can coolers, little bottles of booze.... Really anything goes!!

I have thought that on each cruise the pools should be larger. Both on the Wonder and when we went on Carnival Valor. They always seem so crowded!

Can you believe, one embarassing this that we're kinda nervous about ... is sitting with others for dinner!! Don't get me wrong, we're sociable and friendly and all that, but since we're first time cruisers ... how is that experience, sitting with strangers for a meal ? (last time we did it was at the buffet at the Biergarten in Germany, Epcot).

hmm ... maybe we'll get to sit with friendly folk like you all!
