Disney Dream- 3-10-2011 (3 night)

Hi! Just a friendly reminder that we will be closing the FE on Tuesday. If you want to participate please let me know by Feb 1, 2011. i updated staterooms and made spelling corrections today.

Here are my thoughts about where we all can meet up! :yay:

The Wonder and Magic had the Promenade Lounge on Deck 3 Midship in between Lumiére's/Triton's and Parrot Cay. I thought this would be a good spot to meet since there was a lot of room to mingle and it's not too crowded. However, after looking at the nightclubs, the Dream does not have the Promenade Lounge.

Instead, in the same place, they have a bar called Bon Voyage. The website says this about Bon Voyage: "Bon Voyage, a relaxing lounge located on Deck 3, Midship aboard the Disney Dream, is a cozy bar where families can enjoy a refreshing beverage or snack throughout the day." But since this is on Deck 3 near Guest Services and the main staircase, it could get a bit crowded around here.

The other idea I had to meet is Waves Bar. "Waves, a sunny bar located on Deck 12, Aft aboard the Disney Dream, is a breezy spot where Guests of all ages can relax with a chilled beverage." It's designed for families in mind.

Please sound off and give me your thoughts and ideas! :thumbsup2:

Hi! I finally had a chance to look at the 2 places you found. I am wondering if Waves would be better since it is out on a deck. That may give us more room to accommodate everyone. I counted at least 33 Dis families. My other thought for Waves is that it is on Deck 12 and that is the deck where someone recommended watching the sail away party. If we met there we could be in position for the sail away party. What I don't know is where do you go for the emergency drill? Would we have to leave Deck 12 and then go back? The only drawback that I saw is that it has variable hours. Do you think it will be open?

I agree. Waves sounds good!

I will try to work on a map and hopefully post it for you. I will keep you updated. Just a bit more than a month left!

Big ice storm heading my way. I am ready to leave now for somewhere warm! In case you haven't looked lately we are down to 38 days:cool1:

Does anyone know if you can buy a pass for the rain forest once you are on the ship? And is the pass good for anytime during the day that the spa is open or is it a time stamp entry?

Yes you can buy a pass for the Rainforest Room at almost anytime on board. You can buy a one-day pass any day or they sell multi-day passes. Tours are given on Day 1 so you can look over the facility.

Hi! In case you haven't seen navigators are posted at the website below along with information on the wave phones.

I'm so excited that we go 5 weeks from today!:banana::banana::banana:

Now that the 1st of February has came and gone, what's the final decision on the FE exchange. Are we going to go ahead and leave gifts for all since no one else joined or was it split?

Hi! I have not heard from anyone else so I am closing the FE. I will continue to update cabin numbers and fix any spelling errors that I made. As far as if we are splitting the group or giving to all, it is an even split of opinions from those who replied.

I am going to say that it is a personal decision. If you want to give to everyone you can do that. If you do not want to give to everyone then you can split the list into 2 groups. First group would be 1-10 and the second group 11-20. It is not necessary to let me know what you are planning on doing.

Hi everyone,

I'm preparing for all 20 groups. I think it is manageable. I will also work on a map. I'm trying to get it done for early next week. I will keep you posted!

Thanks so much for making a map. :yay::yay:

I too will be preparing for all 20 groups. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

We'll be doing all 20 rooms too. By the way, is everyone aware that the online check-in has just recently changed (like in the last couple of weeks)? It seems that most people now have to sign up for a check in time. I had already checked in online a month ago and had to redo it yesterday!! I just wish DCL had said something.

Did you see the info about being asked what time you will arrive at the port? It shows up when you do your on-line check-in.

"Each arrival time slot has a limited number of spaces. Therefore, Guest should complete their online check-in as soon as possible in order to have access to the largest selection of available arrival times.

•This is not applicable to Concierge and Platinum Guests, who can arrive at any time.
•Guest who purchase Disney Cruise Line Air or Ground Transportation will not need to select a time.
•For Guest with independently purchased air, only times appropriate for their flight arrival time will appear.

If you have already fully completed the online check-in process for an upcoming cruise (prior to these enhancements), any submitted information will be transferred over. However, Guests are encouraged to login and select a Port Arrival time."

I just complete my online check in stuff. It's actually better than it was before. I'm arriving at 11:30.

I'm cool with the 20 for the FE exchange. I'm getting really excited!

5 WEEKS from today!!!! :woohoo::yay:

Thanks for the heads up, Tinked! Got our online check-in completed - boy, that feels good! We are getting closer everyday!

We will also be doing all 20 cabins for the FE! :cool1:

We are all checked in too:banana: We are going down the night before and staying at the airport Hyatt. I am planning on taking the first bus out. Anyone know how early they will actually let us on the ship?

What are you most looking forward to doing on the Dream:)

I am looking forward to the interactive artwork and the detective game. I am also looking forward to sipping champagne at Pinks. I am a little :scared1: but I really want to try the aqua duck during the day and at night thats if I can talk my hubby into it. Too :scared1:to go alone. Did anyone see the video of the people going down the aqua duck at night? Wow!

I'm looking forward to telling the kids that we are going on the new boat! We surprised them with 6 days at the parks for Christmas - we omitted to tell them that we are going on the Dream too! :cutie:

I've prepare the maps. Let me know if you can access it or not! I will modify it once we get the last room assignment. Let me know what you think!
