Can anyone Explain to me what Fish Extenders are ? and exactly how it works? Ive only cruised once before and Ive never heard of this until this thread

It is a pocket thingy that hangs on the outside of your cabin door on the metal fish. Its sort of like a secret santa. People in the group buy or make little gifts and put them in the pockets so when you come back to your room there is a little surprise. If you search Fish Extender on dis, you will get a ton of info.

Its really fun, and the kids love it.

We just bought our airline tickets to Orlando for the day before our cruise leaves!!!! Southwest for $300 less than American AND no baggage fees. The only thing is that, after disembarking, we'll have to take care of our own luggage.

We got the spa date we wanted but weren't able to get a Palo Brunch. Hopefully, we can snag one once we're on board.

I was trying to add a credit card though for our onboard account and it wouldn't go through twice. Has anyone else been having trouble with this?

We decorated our door and got lots of comments. We made a game out of finding others that were decorated as well. Just remember no tape - magnets. We printed/designed things on magnetic paper and it worked perfectly.

Per a cast member at DCL - they hold back more than 50% of the Palo reservations for onboard booking. So don't give up on that brunch.

Thanks for the tip! We were hoping that we'd be able to snag one on board.

Also, we had a blast decorating our door too, but no one on our deck (so it seemed) decorated their door either. However, after a day or two, there were a few doors with TAPED up pictures or sticky notes. Our room steward really enjoyed helping us put them up and she asked us lots of questions about our pictures.

We decorated our door too. We made a ton of magnets by printing them on cardstock, covered them in clear contact paper and then attached magnet tape on the back. We had a blast and it made it easy for the kids to find our and the rest of our family's rooms.

We are booked on the June 29th Dream cruise. This will be our first cruise ever. It is me, my DH, DD(10), DS(7) and my parents. We are so excited!!! Here is my question: My daughter is 10 but will be 11 in Sept. she wants to know if she will be able to go to the preteen club. I think she wants away from her brother.

My family and I are excited to be joining you all on this cruise! Sailing will be myself, super stay-at-home mom & compulsive planner Misty , my DH of 18 years, my DS (13), and DD(9). This will be our 4th cruise, 2nd with Disney.

We've kinda jumped into this cruise last minute, as this time last year we were planning a Med. cruise on Norweigan. But airfare to Barcelona was going to be more than the cruise cost itself, so we've postponed the idea. DH had to come to Orlando the end of June for a business convention, so he told me "Why don't you see if we can find a cruise while we're down there?" Heck yeah, I jumped at that opportunity! And here we are!

I did not participate in the FE on our last Disney cruise, it was a short one (too short) and it was our first, so I was a newbie to all things unique to cruising Disney. Now, I know DD would get a huge kick out of it, so count me in!

Looking forward to hearing from all of you in the next couple of months!
