Disney Dream 29 June 2012

DH just booked us on this cruise -- our second Disney, but first time on the Dream. DD will be almost 4. So excited!! Has anyone posted recent Navigators from this itinerary?

I have been trying to figure out the best way to do the suprise for our DD6. I have been searching the internet for ideas. One of my ideas was to schedule the call from Mickey around the time we would be getting really close to the port and tell her the phone is for her and then an few sec/mins later she would see the ship. We would really have to have our timing right for this one;) Our DD6 wants to go on a Disney Cruise so bad I think just seeing the ship would make her scream with excitment..(At least I hope so:yay:)

I will probaly keep searching the internet & DIS Boards every night until we leave for more ideas

GREAT IDEA! Will add that to my plans!

I'm thinking of making a little book for him to read right before we leave or
right when he wakes up. The last page would tell him where we are going
:cheer2: Otherwise, I bet that he would guess it's the cruise - since I have
talked about it & he has heard me say "Disney Cruise" a few times this month
:rolleyes1 It also keeps him from asking questions along the way (long drive)
as to where we are going and me having to make things up one after the
other LOL! I can just imagine the conversations now! - Or - DH slipping on a
phone call and saying "on our way to a Disney Cruise", since he will
make/receive quite a few calls while on the road, I'm sure!

I searched YouTube last night and the videos of kids being suprised in the car were not what I have been invisioning. I will keep thinking...but otherwise I will go with the plan I mentioned :)

DD6 her birthday is today and I told my DH that we should just let Mickey call today and it will be a great suprise present for her birthday. He said no he wants to keep it a secret. I agree but....I just want to tell her!!!! :)

We booked this cruise less than a month ago, I could not imaigne booking a year in advance!! I am so ready for this to be here :)

I haven't seen any Navigators of this itinerary yet.

Happy Birthday!!! Hope that she had a lot of fun and presents :cheer2: Yes, it would have been a HHUUGGEE surprise to have gotten the Mickey call, but it will be bigger on the ride there, I think. Today I told DH about my (and your) ideas. He liked them, so that's the plan for now.

I almost told DS this past Thursday, because he was asking if we were going to Atlantis again and if he could ride a plane again. I'm actually also deciding on whether or not to go to Aquaventure.

As for waiting a year for a planned vacation, it may happen next year if DH decides to book the Fantasy while onboard! I'm hoping that we love it that much  In the meantime, we will be at WDW in late July

Hi! I did a search Earlier after reading your post, and couldn't find any for 2012

Anybody get the feeling this isn't going to be a very busy/full cruise?? They are still offering VGT cabins for the same price we paid a month ago, and its only a month out! Same goes for 3 other cruises on Dream in June. Hmmm.... definitely don't mind if it means the line for the Aqueduck will be shorter!

I'm hoping that it means that I'll be able to get a Palo brunch spot.

I hope that is true...since this is our first cruise it would be great to be less crowded  My husband would probaly be more willing to book another while on board!!! If you only knew how hard it was for me to talk him into the trip (lots of begging)....I think he will love it

Thank you sooo much she had the best birthday & I still have not told her :yay: Try and keep it a suprise it will be worth it....It is hard for me as well :flower3: Just think of their faces!!!

I was thinking about doing the Atlantis but not sure...I need to do more research on it. Have you stayed there before? What activities did you like best?

I would love to book the Fantasy while onboad too!!!

Something that has just now hit me is that "Brave" comes out the week before we sail. I wonder if it will be available on the ship. That would be awesome!!!!!

Hello everyone! We are booked for a Fantasy EC cruise in Nov, but might change to this cruise due to work (YAY)!!! I'm just wondering if you've closed your FE group. My daughter and I just finished ours on Monday and changing came up yesterday...ugh! I know we are really late but I thought I'd check. There are three of us.

I can't wait to see the look of surprise! I told DH to film the moment :thumbsup2.
We stayed at Atlantis last summer and DS loved the water park areas and the beach. There were 3 kids areas that we spent a lot of time in - LOVED those pools/slides/water features. The slow lazy river was perfect for them. One big
pool by the Beach tower that he enjoyed lead right into the slow lazy river.
Also enjoyed the huge aquariums and little ones in "the dig".The kids club was also fun, but kind of small. I only dropped him off twice for a four-hour block.
It's going to be hard to enjoy it all on one cruise stop, but I'm thinking of choosing just one area if we go. Its by the Royal Tower. DS still talks about it 'till this day (the pics are also my parents screensaver, so he sees them often) AND I loved the "big kids" rides! :cool1: My baby brother (age17 last summer) went with us, so I got to be a "teenager" again and run all around
and ride the water rides / slides. No, I did not go to the teen club - LOL!

Let's see how it goes as far as booking the Fantasy - I feel deprived because I have never been to ST.Thomas! This would be a perfect way to visit & I already know that 5 days will leave me wanting more! pirate:

:woohoo: I was reading the boards earlier, and it seems that it may! there's a phone number posted on someone's reply that tells cruisers what movie is playing on which ship

And space in the pools :cheer2: I have read a lot of complaints regarding the small pools & my DS loves the pool! I also read that the aqua duck lines get veeery looong !

Has anyone ever used the Park 'N Cruise (Parkcruise.com) they are running a special for online reservations only for 5.99/Day parking. If anyone has ever used this company can you tell me if it is safe and how convenient it is to the port??

 Thank you!

Hi again, can anyone tell me if the FE group is closed. We just booked a VGT room today and I can't find the FB page. We are so excited!!!

Just booked this morning, for our family and my parents. We have two boys, ages 5 and 18 months. Did this cruise when expecting DS2, on the Magic, but this is our favorite cruise by far with the double dip at CC. Did the Dream back in November, and it's nice. I prefer the classic ships, but excited for another double dip! Hope to get to meet some of you onboard!
