Getting so excited about the trip, but now am also scared because the airline on which we are flying to and from the US, Qantas, has just stopped all domestic and international flights because of a dispute with the unions (see http://www.theaustralian.com.au/new...-of-qantas-fleet/story-e6frg6n6-1226180756485).

I know it seems a long way away, but airline disputes have a tendency to drag on.

Just received our GTY room assignment from DCL! We got what we asked for- 11A (still can wish for an upgrade closer to sailing ).

Now I have to start my shopping!!!

Went to see Disney's on Ice Treasure Trove. Now I REALLY can't wait for this cruise!

We enjoyed the show and just seeing the characters made me think of this cruise. While we have cruised on another cruiseline before, nothing compares to walking around the ship and running into a Disney Character. It just seems normal to me. And the shows...I am looking forward to the shows.

Has anyone received an upgrade on this NYE cruise???

Last year, on the NYE Wonder . . . almost everyone we spoke to (including us) had received an upgrade . . . even those who booked at the last minute ended up getting an upgrade.

We were recently assigned our room and did not see any upgrade . . which is fine . . but sighhhhh. . . . I wanna go hang out with LatinQT in the concierge !!!!!

lol. We carefully picked out our 3 rooms so I don't know if I would like them splitting us up...but hanging out with Latinqt in concierge would be very tempting.

I've sent a few pm's to get some missing cabin numbers and will send out the list with the cabin numbers after the list has closed. If you need the stateroom numbers before then, PM me and I will send a list over to you.

I'm really into the cruising mode mentally. So can't wait to be onboard

Is anyone interested in a meet and greet? I've not been on the Dream before so if someone would like to suggest a place and time to meet and take a quick photo shortly after boarding ?, before fire drill ?, that would be awesome

We definitely need a meet & greet. Is there somewhere on the Dream that's equivalent to the Promenade Lounge on the Magic? That was always the best place to meet up at about 3pm.

Of course, some of us could also meet in the terminal.....we did that with quite a few folks last cruise and it was a lot of fun! Also good for those of us trying to get Palo dining options together to meet up and go try our luck!

We're still waiting on our room number, but I'm glad to hear that so many people got an upgrade last year... maybe that's why they're not letting us know because they plan on giving us a great room. At least that's what I'll keep telling myself.

Sorry Linda...If I get an upgrade - I'm taking it! Hoping for some on my first Disney cruise!

But of course, with your luck, I'll be the one left back in the 11A category while you all are in concierge.

I heard from DCL on our request for Palo Brunch in the private dining room. They don't do brunch in the private room and for dinner they need a minimum of 10 and we only had 9.

Laura and I both have port arrival times at 11 am and we are going to the Palo reservation place (wherever that is on the Dream) to see if we can snag a brunch time. Usually they hold about half of them back so we'll see if we are lucky enough to get it.
