Wave phones
Anyone know if you can call just your other phone OR can you call anyone on the ship?

We were just on the Christmas cruise and were the 1'st on the Magic to have the phones. They are great. You may call other people, but need their room #, also the # will then end in a 1 or 2 depending on which hand set you have. They only vibrate so it is hard to know if you have been called most of the time. They also text. There were hardly any passengers using radios. We enjoyed getting to leave ours at home.

I live in Maryland, when I checked the temperature this morning, it was 9 degrees. I am having a difficult time waiting for Saturday when we fly out of here.

thanks Timon
Wasnt sure if these had replaced the reg cabin phones or not.
I like the idea, WTG disney offering them free of charge (first 2)
We were on Wonder for THanksgiving and she did not have the wave phones at that time.

According to the manual, you can call other wave phones, cabin phones or any place on the ship like maintenance or housekeeping :thumbsup2

Make sure you take lots of pics of your stateroom...everyone wants to see those 8A cabins ::yes:: :goodvibes

We were GTY and got our cabin assignment a while a go, and our docs, and checked tonight and our cabin had changed!! It is an upgrade from a 6b to a 5c :cool1: so I'll take it!

SO, what do I do with the luggage tags? They say my old cabin number?? I'll be using Hyatt's pick up service, so do I just change the tags?

Anyone used the check in at MCO lately? What time do they open?

Thanks!

I finally got my room # and its an upgrade!!!! :dance3:
We went from a 09a to a 08b,..Ill take the extra 40ft of space!

Im so excited I cant even stand it. :yay::yay:

Congrats to everyone on your recent upgrades!

ON the Magic last year, DCL told me to go ahead and use the same luggage tags after the upgrade. They did say I could use a Sharpie to cross out the room number and put the new one on...I think the bar code is related to your reservation number.

I would call DCL to find out the most recent procedure. It may have changed.

Today is packing day!!

OK, I am not leaving until Friday afternoon, but it feel so much more real when you are actually packing everything.

I am very sure I wont need and shorts before Friday. :lmao:

AHHHH!! after seeing everyone having room changes I checked our reservation, we weren't GTY but were moved from 5182 to 6150.. im not sure if this is good or now but im going with it

andrewsmommy, maybe I shouldnt take the FE list, sounds like people are being shuffled all over the place

Today is packing day!! Cannot wait to meet everyone- 3pm donald pool. If it rains, can we have a contingency spot?

You've been moved from AFT to a mid-ship location. And from the few trip reports we have and the deck plans, I think deck 6 will end up being a little more convienent for most folks than deck 5 since there is no access to mid ship on deck 5.

I truly think the shuffle will settle down. But anything is possible!

AEPers. I'm now having my doubts that we'll get our rooms in "paid" status before online booking closes down. I guess I'll be booking those excursions on board.

off to do :laundy: and food planning for this week and next. Have 1  kid and stayed home from church, so I have some extra time this morning. Next week I'll have lots of extra time.

Looking forward to meeting all of you.

It's been replaced with a private sundeck for concierge. I just never noticed that detail before.

I loved being on the open deck, forward for sail-away. Anyone have another suggestion. I guess In the end I'll be happy to hear "When You Wish Upon a Star" (or whatever the captain chooses to play on the horn) from any position on deck.

So Excited!

andrewsmommy- We had an upgrade previously and were instructed to put the new cabin number on the tags with marker.

Congrats on the upgrades to everyone.

Looking forward to meeting everyone.

We sail in 1 WEEK!!!! (at least those of us not doing btb.)

Perhaps we could go to Evolution or D Lounge. The adult areas are usually open to families on the first day.

I heard they were going to have dining in D, so that's prob. not the best choice.

Do you have to be GTY to get an upgrade? I never get an upgrade probably because I always select a cabin number.

Congrats on the upgrades everyone! Sounds like everyone is getting awesome cabins. I looked and there are alot of open cabins so who knows, somemore upgrades maybe coming our way!

I do agree we should have a spot picked out just in case it rains. BUT we all know its not going to rain on us :snooty:(fingers crossed!)

Just wondering how many cabins are in the FE?

THE FE only has 6 or 7 cabins...it would be too much for most people to add someone at this point, but I have enough for a few more cabins!

I tried calling in last night and after 40 minutes on hold I was told no stateroom number yet. I am bummed. I don't care what it is I just want to know what it is. Still excited about being on the ship. I did the last cruisline AEP on the Wonder and we have about 40 or so agents. So if there is really 176 the group picture is going to be a challenge. If they still plan on doing that. Our seminar on board was in the Cadillac lounge on the Wonder, so we may have to be in the Walt Disney theatre to accomodate all of these agents. Oh well just a few more days till the Dream
