Disney dream - 01-30-11

Thank you, I just called the castaway club # and they helped me promptly. I hope my room does not change either. I can see I have a roommate, but I do not think she is on the thread. Looks like they tried to match up the solo people pretty well.

Glad things are moving along for the AEPers :) I tried to get my res# from DCL but no reservation in my name yet...I was hoping maybe I would get matched up with someone from this thread.

I will keep checking....

Thank you for the information! I got my ressie number and room number! Now, as long as the cabin stays the same, I will be all set!

Packing this weekend!!:yay::yay::yay:

I was able to get my Disney Cruiseline Confirmation number. Cannot book anything online as it is not in "fully paid" status. They did ask me for the name of the person I'm traveling with (turns out she was listed as the lead guests)...so you may have to do some fancy talking if you don't know your roomies name and you're not the lead guest. I have a great room assignment, but I'm thinking that could change 8 times between now and the 30th!

I was able to check-in online. I'll be checking back often to see if it gets "paid."

Thankfully they also let us know that they will be notifying us about the land portion of the trip as well.

Super! PM me the room number in case it doesn't change, we'll have something up there!

For those AEP's, did you get your reservation # from DCL or Castaway Club? Anyone get an inside cabin? I always hope for a balcony and this time I'm hoping for an inside. As long as I'm on the ship it really won't matter. I'm flying down on the 28th because of all the snow we've been getting. Snow tonight into tomorrow and I just heard on the news possibly more snow Tuesday into Wednesday. Hope no one gets snowed in. I'm getting nervous about the snow but so excited about seeing the ship. Everyone's been teasing me because I said I won't do the Aqua duck since I'm afraid but yet as a TA maybe I might have to do it. :confused3

I called DCL and they don't have our names yet :sad1:

So for those of you AEP'ers who got your cabin numbers...what category did you get??? :confused3

Yeah, I am wondering about the room assignments myself. :confused3

Hahaha...Yeah, they said we get our docs next Saturday when we check in. I have not received my 2011 CLIA card yet. They told me to bring a copy of my app from CLIA just in case they ask for it.

:

Wondering also, do tell what type of cabins!
Got word that as of today, there are 176 agents in the AEP!!!!:thumbsup2

Have not gotten my CLIA 2011 either.
I uploaded the pic and the system refused it, sent me an email saying to regular mail the photo. Went to walmart and got a new pic and mailed it. The same same day clia emailed me that everything was ok with the 1st pic...well shoot...
Anyway, maybe WE will both get our cards next week.

My Mom calls me today and says they are coming for a visit. They will be here a couple of days after I return from this cruise. I am worried what my house will look like with me leaving the hubby and kids for 6 days!!

I too don't really want to do the Aqua Duck. Wanna do it with me? We can be scared together! And then tell clients how fun it is:rotfl2:

WOW! amazing that the cruise was that undersold! That's at least 90 staterooms when you consider training staff. How will they ever get all of us through a ship tour? On the last AEP there were 20/group for this ship tour of the Wonder and it was difficult to get everyone in and out of the suites etc. Good Grief! Sales training with 176 friends: as a former corporate trainer, I can tell you that's going to be a challenge.

No WONDER they don't have the Epcot dinner figured out yet. But Disney is used to large groups and catering...It will be FABULOUS!

My room is a Deluxe Ocean View with Verandah. Not counting on this stateroom especially since we know there are paid reservations on this thread that haven't received stateroom assignments. Disney can change ANYTHING they want. I'd actually be thrilled with one of those new virtual portholes! It is exciting to have a room number and confirmation number! Makes it seem more real.

NICE on the assignment.

I am assuming that say
Group #1 will be touring the kids clubs
# 2 the resturants
#3 staterooms
#4 spa
and so on. On a very well planned out rotation.

I called DCL and they have NO record of me. Nothing. I don't exist. :sad1: The is my first AEP. How do most people dress for the seminars? What about Epcot? Many years ago, I did the Cruise 360 in Florida and I'm from PA. They said to dress business casual so I dressed in nice pants and a jacket etc etc. Alot of the people were in tank tops and capri's. They said in Florida that is business casual. As far as the Aqua Duck,:scared1: I'll watch and you can all tell me how it is. I'll take the pictures. Anyone going early want to meet on the 28th for dinner or at Downtown Disney? Let me know.

I just booked the AEP last week...not a whole lot of time to prepare. This will be my first cruise and I'm super excited and relieved to see so many of you on dis. I got my room assignment today. It's 10028! I was so surprised to get a deluxe oceanview room with a verandah:woohoo::woohoo:
Is anyone else having problems booking ME on the 29th? I called ME yesterday and they did not have us in the system yet. Cutting it close aren't they?
Looking forward to the cruise and meeting all of you.

Hi Mickeymom...nothing for me yet either. Maybe we will room together :) I am packing for cool weather. Looks like Saturday night dinner at Epcot temps will be in the 50s. Being from Houston that is cool for me so long pants, sweater and jacket. The weather forecast for the Bahamas is mid 70's day and upper 60s at night. I am planning to wear capris to the seminars, probably with light sweaters or short sleeved tops/ and jacket. I am not sure it will be warm enough for me to brave the aqua duck. If we have any free time I may be in the hot tub or spa :goodvibes

Well I am in 10538 with somebody named Sean... Sean, if you are here speak up! :) Funny, this stateroom is only a few down from the one I have booked for my August cruise...Oooo, it just struck me I am doing two cruises this year... :rotfl2: Of course they did point out that stateroom assignments are subject to change. I already went online and did the check-in. Now if feels real! :thumbsup2

I know I had gotten an email about the 29th and the ME. It pretty much said our ressie numbers should be emailed to us before the end of the week then we can make the ME ressies..I am not taking much luggage so I will most likely just carry on my luggage anyhow.

Yes, I am almost as excited about Saturday night as the cruise...note...ALMOST! ;)

The registration says "resort casual" and even says shorts are acceptable... But they do ask no jeans for any event :thumbsup2

Looks like we will be neighbors...no snoring! 10540. I do not see my roommate posting either. I guess I'll finally have to get on facebook.

When I called I gave my name and explained I may not be the lead guest, which I was not. She found it. Once you get your #, you will also be able to see info about your roommate, which I thought seemed putting that info out was not very secure.
I'll be packing this weekend. I'm assuming we will be eating in a regular dining rotation and expected to dress accordingly. Any feedback?
Thanks, Jill

I plan on dressing for dinner as I did on previous cruises...but I didn't get all fancy then. (Black dress slacks, heels or wedges, nice top.) I am a little worried about packing shoes that look nice but won't cause my feet to hurt on the walk to World Showcase followed the next day with the tour of the Dream. I'm considering brining a bag with my walking shoes in it and changing into nicer shoes for dinner at Epcot.
