Disney dream - 01-30-11

Hey, don't sweat it. We were so worried the first time we were assigned a room on deck 2. We loved it so much that we have been on deck 2 every cruise after it. We are forward and love it. We will be on deck 2 for the B2B MV. We were offered an upgrade for the second cruise but decided against it because of unpacking, repacking and then unpacking again.

Welcome. We almost got deck 2 midship, but then hubby decided we would try a verandah room at the last minute.

For the MV my DH and I will be on Deck 2 forward, and then for this cruise we are switching to a verandah and will be Deck 10 Aft! Not excited about having to pack up and move things, but am very excited about having a veranda on the back of the ship!

I will be joining you to celebrate my birthday. My daughter could not get off so we could take the first cruise but I was still excited to be able to take the second one since it goes over my birthday on the 31st.

I wish I had more than 4 days but it just cost too much for me to go by myself.

Yeah, we figured that we would try a different room and different level. We could have gotten the same verandah room that we have for the MV but since I wasn't planning on the 2nd cruise- I don't have the money saved up yet (good thing for work increasing my hours!!). Its good to hear about good experiences on a lower deck... now just hoping my TA actually booked it- didn't hear back from her this week

Hello Everyone!! We will be joining you all as well, at least part of my family. I will be traveling with my two youngest DDs (ages 9 &7). DH and DD(14) will be hanging out at home. This will be a surprise for the girls!

I am looking forward to a mother/daughter cruise and what better way to celebrate mom's birthday but on the Disney Dream!

January is our 30th wedding anniversary. We're just doing the 4 nights. Due to obligations at home, we feel we can't be gone longer right now. So does anyone know what kind of celebration type things we could do on this short trip? I know Disney does the customary celebration cake. I read on the disboards that someone said they ordered a cake once onboard for a wedding anniversary but read others that said DCL won't do that.

Also, anyone heard any rumors on the new beach cabanas at Castaway Cay? I'm trying to find out how much one would cost to rent. Probably very expensive, but hey, its our 30th!

Hubby's birthday is the 30th!!!! Honestly, in the past we have celebrated birthdays and anniversaries onboard and in the dining room they usually bring out a cake but we are always so full from dinner (and the desserts to me are better than the celebration cake) and I feel the cake goes to waste. I have brought it back to the cabin a few times but we never ate it. Probably won't do the celebration cake at dinner this time.

Just completed my online bookings a few minutes ago. Got everything I wanted, I even went back and changed the day of my Palo dinner without any problem. I also booked Remy and a Palo Brunch. Did not book any spa treatments because I didn't see a Spa Villa for one offering. I plan to email the Concierge tomorrow to see if it's being offered on the Dream and if they could book it for me.

Going back to bed, glad I got that done.
