I'm glad the test went well and you weren't as sore as you expected to be. I'm so happy you all got to DHS. Too bad we were at MK and missed you all. And that rain!! We missed it completely by being at the Meet and Greet or in the car. I hope you didn't get too wet!

We have just returned from a fantastic, Disney weekend. Once again, we stayed at CSR. By far, this was our best stay ever at CSR. It topped our March stay, hands down!

For those who are new to this continuous TR, here's the CAST

We weren't sure if this weekend trip was going to take place or not. Goofy got a job transfer just days before that came with a change in schedule. In fact, his schedule changed 3 different times before this weekend! He ended up working Friday, but had off Saturday, Sunday and Monday!! We weren't sure if Hurricane Irene was going to affect the trip or not. When the projected path had it heading to Florida, I had considered cancelling but Goofy held firm and said no.

Goofy left for work on Friday morning. I was ready to go, but had two sleeping boys on my hands. We had a breakfast ADR for the Captain's Grille, time was ticking and I knew we weren't going to make it. I went online and cancelled it. It was noon when we pulled into CSR. We headed straight to check in.

There was one cm for the online check-in and three cm at the other check in. There was one family at the counter checking in when we arrived. The other line was fairly long. We waited and waited and waited and waited. That family was there a LONG time. We waited so long that the other line disappeared and we were still waiting! Anakin began to whine about the wait. Finally one of those three cm walked over to the online check-in and had me follow her to her counter.

Let me just say, what happened next, made the waiting worth our time!!

I had never taken the time to really check out the Registration Area until we stood there waiting for so long. It's beautiful and there is such attention to detail.

As we were walking to that CM's area, Grumpy offered to take Anakin over to the kiddie area to watch the tv.

All of our past stays at CSR have always been in the Cabanas. I love the beach, so I love the atmosphere of that area. Since our last stay though, I had really hoped for the Casitas. The fountains and courtyards at night are so pretty. They are pretty in the daytime but the lights at night add magic!

I asked the CM if our room was ready. She said, "Yes." Then she continued on to shock me! "Your waterview room in the Casitas is ready." She saw my shocked expression and wished us Happy Anniversary, told us to enjoy our free upgrade, and gave me 2 Anniversary buttons!! We had just celebrated our 20th Anniversary August 10th!!

Tink, I'm so glad you got Casitas and such a great location too. We were in 5235 (I think) a couple of years ago and absolutely loved that spot.

I think the CSR has the prettiest lobby of all the moderates.

The inside of the room looked almost exactly the same as our room in March. With the differences being in the view and no connecting door to another room!!!

Our room was a corner room with one set of windows. (Some corner rooms have 2 sets of windows.) Right around the corner from our room was one of the many pretty courtyards and fountains of the Casitas.

Our room was directly across the lake from the Dig Site.

I am here!! The room reminds me a lot of the rooms at the DLH. The bedding is so similar.

I bet it's gorgeous at Christmas time. Will have to check it out this year. I can see why you love Casitas 5!! We could see your sacred spot from our room, I just didn't know which hammock was yours.

I dream of staying at DLR sometime in one of Disney's resorts. 1981 was my one and only trip there. We stayed at the Best Western across the street.
