Another treat with a twist are the churros at La Cantina. They are served with a sauce!

I think we saw those before.. I need to try a proper dole whip this year. I got confused last year because the dole whip was only the ice cream so only got vanilla ice cream cup... I want one of the pineapple floaty things

The 4 of us all prefer the pineapple dole whip flavor and not in a float. I'm the only one who likes the float. If I get a float I get the pineapple dole whip with the pineapple juice. The vanilla icecream dilutes the float so much.

We have been looking and pricing medical strollers since Christmas time. This past weekend I called a medical supply place that services the Disney area to see if they were still selling medical strollers. Their prices were the most reasonable, and they were advertising a Maclaren Major for $549.

I was so disappointed to learn that they no longer sell any medical equipment exept van lifts, they are solely into rentals.

One of my friends on facebook is one of those coupon queens. With her sales and deals, the grocery stores end up paying her to shop! So I sent her a pm to see if she knew of any place I could purchase either a Maclaren Major or a Baby jogger freedom or Indepence that is used or cheap. She didn't know of any place, but told me to call someone who would know.

Much to our delight, I called and she did know!! Just a few days ago, a Convaid Cruiser was DONATED to their facility!! In NC, Anakin tried out Lisa's Convaid EZ rider size 14. Both Judy and I felt that with how wide his backside is, the size 14 would be the best fit for him.

The donated stroller is a size 14!!! And it's blue!!!!!! And most amazingly, it has a sun shade!!!!

I got an rx from the neuro and today we need to stop by the place and fill out papers and take papers to his OT, to then return to the place. If everything goes as hoped, this will be Anakin's!!

Please pray, send up pixie dust and good thoughts that all goes well today with aquiring the Convaid Cruiser!!

Like the pics of it!!! He's gonna LOVE that!!! I got my wheelchair for free....sad story actually, it's a quickie lite, and is super lite! I can push myself as long as I'm not going up hill. It's blue also! I made my own cushion. The boy who had my wheelchair before lived across the street from us, and had Muscular Dystrophy also, but the bad kind. He passed away 2 years ago at 17, and his mom figured I could use his chair, since I have the same thing, only different type. So, that's how I got mine. I always remember Travis tho. He had a good spirit!!

I can't believe how things went down yesterday! As many of you know, we have been praying for a medical stroller since December.

Last June when Anakin began his seizures, fatigue, low endurance, and poor balance suddenly entered the picture. We still had his baby stroller in the garage and had to start using it. The stroller was to hold up to 45 pounds. With each dosage adjustment on Anakin's medication, he gained weight. So much weight that this last adjustment bumped him up to 85 pounds! We really watch his calorie and carb intake. He is very self-conscious of his weight gain too.

Whenever possible we try to encourage him to walk and we are working on building endurance. One of his goals for PT was to be able to walk for 30 minutes. He is not there, but we are working on this!

The baby stroller was on it's last leg and very difficult to push. I sat down with dh last weekend and discussed our options and what I found. I asked different support groups for Epliepsy and Autism if they had any ideas on where to find a 2nd hand medical stroller. Nobody had ideas.

Then I asked a friend YESTERDAY on FB if she knew. She is a coupon queen and has a son with special needs. Since her son is older I had hoped she would have an idea of where to look for used medical equipment.

She had no idea, but suggested I call a certain place with a medical closet. I called the place she suggested and much to our amazement, the person I spoke with there said she had just received the exact size push cart that he needed!! Prayers answered! As the person I was talking to went on about this push cart and I asked her what she means by push cart. She went over to it and read that it said Convaid Cruiser!! I told her a size 14 is what he would need. She read that it said 14!!!! I asked her is it another color other than pink? She said it was royal blue!! Then she added that it had a sun shade!!

By this time, my legs were like wet noodles and my hands were shaking. Then she asked me if I knew how their medical closet worked? I had no idea. And she explained that we would borrow it at no charge until he either outgrew it or we didn't need it anymore!! Now there were tears in my eyes! The chances of everything working out so perfectly and so exactly to fit him are just too specific to for me to chalk up to coincidence. This has to be a God thing!! We feel truely blessed!!

I'm glad it worked for you the other night. Now I understand why you're leary of leaving it alone. I would think with the stroller as wheelchair tag, you can take it thru the lines and stuff, and leave it like one would leave a wheelchair. We've never had a problem. It's just the rude people that think they own the sidewalks, don't look when they walk, it drives Chris crazy pushing me!!

I was having a good day the other day at Epcot. Those are rare!! I didn't hurt as bad as I was hoping the next day, but wednesday, I felt it, and of course yesterday and today. I maybe have one to two good days a week. I was really blessed when I got my chair from the lady across the street too. She just didn't want to sell it, and figured if someone she knew could use it, then she was all for it. So, when I'm done with it, I'll pass it along the line too. That's the best way to do it.

In line for the monorail. He was given monorail trading cards from a CM. We didn't know such a thing existed! It gave trivia and info about the monorail. He loved them!

Headed to Guest Services to get the new red sticker for this stroller. And he met another boy from Texas in the same type but different size. Anakin's is a 14 and the other boy's was a 16. Goofy and I both think that Lisa's must have been bigger than a 14, because Anakin swam in hers. So maybe she has a 16? Judy?

Yep, Tyler and I went to MK afterwards. I did get a margarita with Julie in Mexico, from the inside. Them things are GOOOOOD!! Then we went and rode Soarin. Man, that ride is MUCH better when you got a good margarita buzz going!! We didn't walk too much in Mk, I took it easy there that night. We did go to DHS wednesday night, but I rode. That GAC card is awesome! I knew about them, but not really knew about them. I always thought the wheelchair was in place of the card, but apparently not. And there are lots of times that I walk, and get tired. So it's been a God send!! Thank you for pointing me the right way!!!

That GAC card is awesome! I knew about them, but not really knew about them. I always thought the wheelchair was in place of the card, but apparently not. And there are lots of times that I walk, and get tired. So it's been a God send!! Thank you for pointing me the right way!!!

He napped in it yesterday. He usually doesn't take naps, but he said the recline made him feel it was sleep time. The shade is so helpful!

We were asked a survey after the ride on Star Tours. We got a sticker for participating.

You know how when someone tells you not to do something, you just have to do it?

If you haven't pulled the rope at DHS, good for you! But aren't you curious what happens if you do pull the rope?

Chris has to pull that rope every time we walk by it. He thinks it's funny!! LOL DHS is also his favorite park!
