Disney done differently, (BOG dining updates pages 202 and 203)

Thanks for the responses!! I will be back to answer them individually later today. It was a rough night last night. Between me and Anakin, I think we are driving Goofy, well goofy.

We went to Epcot last night. I guess I will not be riding test track or any of the attractions that confine you to the seat. When we pulled out from the loading area, my seatbelt locked into position. Both the lap part of the belt and the shoulder. The ride stopped. The screen went blank. I started sweating and couldn't breath. I was stopped just passed the person who operated the ride. I asked her if she could let me out.

She was very nasty in how she worded it. But basically told me I was out of luck until I got to the belt checker. To let me out there they'd have to shut down the ride and evacuate everyone from it. So instead of trying to keep me calm, I went into my first ever panic attack. Which totally annoyed Grumpy and scared Anakin.

The belt checker offered to loosen my belt, but I said just let me OUT!!! My legs were like rubber getting out of that car. My legs, hands, everything was shaking.

I'm one that to feel better I need to talk about it. Poor Lisa was the last person I had texted, so she got an earful.

By the time they got off the attraction, my heart wasn't beating as fast, but my legs still felt like rubber.

All was well when we got home. Just after getting to bed, Anakin started with seizures. We had just opened a new package of medication for him. I don't know if it's from different lot numbers or stress from my panic attack, but this is just what happened the last time we started a new bottle. He spent much of the night having partials. Much of this morning with myoclonic twitching while asleep.

Will be monitoring him today and keeping a close eye on him. If you can say a prayer, send good thoughts, some pixie dust, we'd appreciate it.

you didn't give me an earful, just happy you felt better after you got off the ride and took a break.

sorry Anakin had such a rough night, prayers and :goodvibes heading his way, hope he feels better and can rest today

Last summer when all of this started, I was not good at handling meltdowns. And the meltdowns lasted an hour or more and happened multiple times a day. It was a really rough summer.

Anakin's Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Occupational Therapy have been the best things in the world for our family!! The neurocognitive testing showed us his strengths and weaknesses. The occupational therapy thorough evaluation shedded even more light on the situation.

June 21, 2010 when he had his first grand mal through March 2011 were some of the roughest times our family went through. I sported more black and blues during those dates than I probably did in my lifetime. It was as if a switch went off in his brain and we had a totally different child.

At first we thought the behavior was a result of his seizure medicine. So he was switched to another and the behavior didn't change. It wasn't until we all realized that he was experiencing horrible pain from an intensification of all 5 senses that he was able to be helped. I am thankful the psychologist picked up on the clues and pointed us in the right direction!

It was a rough haul of three days a week therapy with homework from the therapy lasting up to two hours a day. The biggest changes came with the Interactive Metronome. I was extremely skeptical of this. But it was during this time Jan to March where the biggest changes in his behavior, balance, and physical skills improvements took place! The therapeutic listening of modulated music helped with the sound sensitivity. With his body more in sync he made the biggest strides and we started the process of getting our happy, cheerful boy back!

I cannot imagine how scary the seizures have got to be. Thankfully there is help. Thank God for the psychologist.

While the guys were fishing Anakin and I were working ahead on school work so he can play at Disney on Monday. I turned on the little tv in the kitchen while I was making his lunch. He came in to check on me and caught the tail end of Top Model.

He noticed the girl who got sent home crying but didn't understand why the girls who were not sent home were crying too. I explained to him it's called empathy. When you feel someone else's pain. He didn't understand. He asked when he will feel empathy.

The psychologist told us last year that he didn't have empathy and wasn't able to read body languange. He couldn't get inside someone's mind.

I didn't know what to tell him. I said maybe some day. It's little things like this that break my heart at times.

Oh that has got to be rough for both of you.

WBG has panic attacks. His aren't nearly as bad as they used to be. The fist time that they got to the point that they were at their worst we were at Disneyland. We were able to figure out that through exercise he was able to keep them under control. That is how he got into cycling.

I wish you luck with the panic attacks. What a sad place to have a panic attack.

Thanks kaoden! Hopefully it won't happen again. I'm sorry to hear about your husband's. Good to know exercise has helped him. That is an area I am sorely lacking lately.

Thanks for being there!!

He rested most of the morning. He is doing great this afternoon! Except for lack of appetite, he is back to cheerful self! His first words to me this morning were, "Mommy you smell good." :goodvibes

Nope, haven't posted them yet, I'm gonna go do that now. We're back from my mom's dinner, and we had fun. I don't want to get too far behind!!! We did pop over to DHS friday night, Jenn was having a rough time and needed some Disney feel good time, so we met her there, and had a blast with her. So I'll upload those pics, and from ma's dinner tonight soon, hopefully in the morning, and get them posted before going to Universal Monday!! :)

In the meantime, I see you posted the pics. Enjoyed looking at them and reading your TR. I hope you are having fun with your mom's birthday weekend and all the festivities between that, Universal, and the long distance reunions!

they are cute, but nothing I need....have my WDW backpack from 2008 and is still good and Miss Judy sent me a beautiful mickey watch for my birthday

That's great the back pack has held up. Do you use it back home? Living here we wear and use our Disney stuff all the time. I know when Grumpy went up north, he wanted the Star Wars weekend shirts packed, but not the Mickey ones. I have a Tink watch, of course, and I like it much better than the watch in the offer.

I like the backpack, and I want one. Just haven't gotten around to getting $40 worth of stuff to be able to get it. I will get one soon tho, I hope LOL

I hope you are able to get your back pack. I have no shopping plans in the near future, but if I spend over $40, I'll send you a text to see if you still want the bag.

It took us 10 years to get pregnant with him. I guess those 10 years were to make sure we were equipped to parent him effectively.

What an inspiring way to look at it! I so  the Cinderella pictures!
Yay for the love bug making it home...not so yay for you!

no I only use it when we go to WDW and DLR...but didn't bring it the last trip, since Megan's able to carry her own stuff now we share the load :lmao:

In those 10 years between kids, the first 5 years were spent working in a hospital setting that included acute care, emergency and ICU. I think it equipped me to better handle the seizures. And in the last 3 years I taught Spanish at a school that had grades 3 year old to 7th grade. So that prepared me for the homeschooling. Funny how it all works out.

Glad you like the Cinderella pics!

I don't think that love bug made it home from our day. I think he probably snuck in when we left for the day. They were everywhere that morning. Twice a year they make their appearances, and do a number on our cars.

Sharing the load! :thumbsup2

Some day I'd love to go in the no handbag line! We use to do this before Anakin. Now I have ear muffs, pulse oximeter, etc. in my bag.

Back to last Monday at the MK...

To recap, we were wondering through the shops. Looking for earings for my mom's friend.

I guess it's the elevation of the track that makes all the difference :P

There is so much cool new merchandise!

Love the Monorail wings!!

There are a couple of cute hats, I love the Mad Hatter ones!!

One of my friends posted a picture of her cat wearing one of those hats. It looked adorable. And this is on her cat who has attitude! Actually size wise they fit the head of a cat better than a human. They look big in picture, but they are actually quite small.

Your watch is MUCH prettier...if I DO say so. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

That's right! You did see my Tink watch. Love that DTD WoD will remove links!! How do you store all his mugs? Wondering if you have a creative tower or something? We have no more room left in our cupboards for another glass or mug for Grumpy! I don't know what to do with them. Right now they line the counter and it bugs me!

We are starting off the week with another morning at Disney. Our hopes is to see Rapunzel this morning, which means I better get off of here and head out the door!!

So my question is if you buy over $40 worth of merchandise do you get BOTH the watch and the backpack?

On Saturday night, Epcot was EMPTY!! If it wasn't for me, it would have been the perfect evening!!

Both Amaze and Create lots were completely empty.
