Tink, I am in awe of all your pixie dust! That is great that Anakin got such great interactions from Anakin!! And I'm glad you guys got to see the parade. Loved the SW pics!

And I am soo amazed at how great of an experience you had at 50s! I'm honestly jealous! No one was asked to set the table. DD didn't get a Clean Plate sticker. Our server just sucked. But its all the more reason to go back. And I'm super glad that your server picked up on Anakin and didn't cause any issues so that he had a great visit! The sandwich looked YUM!

This truely was the weekend of never ending magic and pixie dust. We went back yesterday for more SWW, and there was so much more magic and being in the right spot at the right time!! Coming up next, seeing 2 characters together instead of 1!!

Hopefully the next time you visit 50's PTC will be an amazing experience! Anakin not only got 1 clean plate sticker, but he got a 2nd!! Apparently when he took his dishes to the kitchen his sticker came off. The server noticed and gave him another!!

How could I forget?! We made one final stop before leaving DHS on Saturday. We stopped at Ray Park's show! He is the actor that played the part of Darth Maul.

We went back for one last SWW day, yesterday. We hoped to see the 6pm show of many voices, but we missed it. We didn't stay that long. Anakin did get to see a few more characters though! And there was more magic!

As we walked around the lake, we saw the stars and their celebrity meet and greets. Anakin asked why he can't see them? We explained how you had to get there early to get a fast pass to see one. We told him he could look from the street. He did and got some nice eye contact from Ray Parks!

To make even more Disney magic, a cm gave him a copy of an autographed photo!! He was so happy about it!


We began seeing characters with a visit to Queen Amidala.

Anakin wanted to see Anakin again, so we went back to that line. Shak Ti was the character, but she was going to be leaving soon. The queue was very sunny, so I sat with Anakin in the shade on the steps of a nearby building.

It was our turn to go next, but they stopped the queue with us. We were told it would probably be Mace Windu next, and sometimes he comes out with Kit Fisto. But guess who comes walking around the corner? Anakin!! And shortly after him?! Mace Windu!!! He got to see both Mace Windu and Anakin together!!! Remember the first weekend how the boy behind us got to see Cody and Rex together, and Anakin thought that was soooo cool! Now it was his turn!! We surely didn't expect this!! It was a great surprise!! Notice anything different about Anakin this day?

Next stop, either Boba or Jenga Fett. The line was incredibly L-O-N-G. They switched out characters 3 times while we waited. Anakin made friends with the boys behind us in line. Their playing in line made the wait seem so much shorter! He also got out of line when a storm trooper walked by to get a pic with him.

We ate at ABC Comissary again. We decided to check out the cupcakes at Starring Rolls. I was looking for a vanilla cupcake. No luck. Everyone had chocolate in it. But boy did they look inviting!

I'm pretty sure this is going to end our visits to SWW for 2011. He saw every show except the voice show, he saw every character except Asoka Tano, Jenga Fett and Shak Ti!

We caught a glimpse of the Phinneas and Ferb M&G twice and look forward to experiencing it ourselves some day in the future!

Actually looking at a park map and times guide, there are quite a few things we have never experienced at DHS that are now on my bucket list!

Yup, they are identical twins and all sorts of fun! When they were Anakin's age they were completely obsessed with Star Wars (particularly Boba & Jango Fett). I can't even imagine how in awe they would have been at a SWW!

We do have a trip coming up, with our family as well as my parents, sisters and BiL. It's not until end of November/early December, but we are all soooooo excited already! And of course, I am obsessively planning every detail and trying to gather as much info as I can here at the DIS about making everything work smoothly for the people in our group with special needs.

Thank you for your offer! I started off with about a zillion questions, but feel like I'm starting to "get my legs" now. The DIS has been an incredible resource.

Yes, both my sons are dxed with Aspergers, as well as OCD and anxiety, and they both have multiple anaphylactic food allergies, and one has severe environmental allergies as well. My youngest sister has William's syndrome, Autism and anxiety, and my husband was dxed with seizure disorder last year, so we'll have to keep an eye on his energy levels etc. on our trip as well.

We have heard great things about that late Nov/early Dec time of year (although it seems the crowd levels are increasing then?). We need to avoid the heat (one of my sons can't tolerate it), and can't wait to see the Christmas decor!! I've been paying attention to some of the strategies you use for Anakin for the heat in case it is unseasonably warm. Taking him for a break to the first aid area while your DH held your spot is such a great idea!

We accomplished everything we did over 3 weekends. We needed that many days! It was fun!! I thought I was all Star Wars out, but I just booked us for Star Wars Celebration VI at the Orange County Convention center for Aug 2012! (Staying at the Hilton instead of Disney, though.)

Glad you are getting all your answers on the DIS!

Have you considered emailing special diets closer to your arrival time? We found this helpful, especially at Ohana and Whispering Canyon.

For the heat, we also bring frozen water bottles in the park. He uses them as ice packs.

Is your husband photosensitive to lights? That is one of Anakin's triggers. We found that covering one eye sometimes helps. But he absolutely cannot ride Ellen's ride at Epcot. The twinkling lights near the end of the ride just do him in!

Be sure to schedule some time to check out the decorations at some of the resorts. There are some really neat gingerbread displays throughout, particularly at the Beach Club and Grand Floridian!!

Every year we go to the Yacht Club to take a picture of our boys for Christmas cards in front of their Christmas tree. It is a more masculine tree, with a nautical theme! Perfect for my fisherman boys!

What an awesome time it looks like you guys have had for SWW! Benjamin has looked at all your pictures with me (repeatedly!) and swears we HAVE to plan our next trip for SWW. We both liked the parade pics - especially Goofy.

The 2 Anakins looked like they had an amazing visit - that's awesome that big Anakin realize he needed to get down to little Anakin's level. Awesome pictures.

Mace Windu looked like a great interaction as well - he was really checking out that light saber!

50's PTC sounds like a super fun time! I debated between that and Sci-Fi on our last trip and ultimately went with Sci-Fi b/c Benjamin really wanted to eat there plus I don't think he or Buddy would enjoy the ribbing - they're the people who absolutely don't want me mentioning their birthdays at restaurants for fear of being sung to! But it sure does sound like you guys had a great visit - I totally would have gotten in trouble for the elbows.
