Disney done differently, (BOG dining updates pages 202 and 203)

Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love ya tomorrow...you're only a day a way...!!!!

Heading to Pop tomorrow!! Goofy works so he will join us in the evening. Grumpy is psyched to fly out to my parent's house and for his farewell breakfast at his favorite restaurant! Anakin can't wait to stay at Pop Century. It's his favorite resort!! I am feeling myself becoming a resort snob, because I am not looking as forward to staying at Pop as I have in the past. Those queen size beds and microwave at CSR spoiled me!!!

Here's more pics from last Saturday. We saw 2 shows. Behind the Force and Stars of the Saga. Anakin's favorite was Behind the Force. This is the one I mentioned earlier where he got to ask a question of Dave Filoni.

Anakin felt that this show was loud when they showed clips of Clone Wars on the screen.

Anakin was picked to ask the first question. His question was "What does General Grievous do on his day off, when he is not fighting anyone?"

100_2259.jpg

Dave Filoni's answer was something about wearing pajamas. He really had to think about that one. He kept going on making up things that General Grievous could do. And Anakin wasn't falling for it and called him out, asking if he was talking about himself. He had the whole audience laughing. And I was mortified that he interrupted him.

hope you all are having a great time!!!

We had a wonderful time. 2 nights is such a tease! I feel like Sharpay, "I want more!"

Good news! I am getting more Disney resort stays! Details to come. I think my husband is getting as hooked as me! We booked on bounce back and I will start at new PTR for them!

Thanks so much for the info on the pins. Saw both posts! I think he has a Squirt from a couple years ago, I will have to look at his pins.

We bought him a pin trading book for his birthday, but he doesn't understand how that works. We bought it for him to put his keepers in, and he has put his traders inside instead. His keepers are in sandwich bags at home, sorted by character or color, or whatever sorting combination he came up with at the time.

It was so great to meet you all and go on Buzz and TTA! We loved your children's Pirate League makeovers. I think that your daughter's sparkly eye makeup intrigued Anakin and did mermaid magic on him, lol. He talked about the pretty mermaid. And said he wanted to do the pirate thing to look like your pirate boy, because the skeleton makeovers are too scary. But he wants to do it in the winter because he doesn't think he would like the feel of stuff on his face when it's sweaty.

I look forward to your TR!

I have a few more SWW pictures from the 1st SWW, before I get posting on our Pop trip.

Anakin really wanted to see an Ewok. That is still on our list to do the first weekend in June, because it didn't happen the first weekend. We got in the queue that the cm had just enlarged. Here he had goofed and misunderstood his order to close the line. So there we all were. Standing there and being told it was closing for the parade, and he wouldn't be back til 4pm.

Oh Anakin cried. He just could not wrap around his head why this was happening. It broke our heart and the hearts of those around him. Nothing could console him. It was a knife through the heart. We tried changing the subject, sidetracking him, etc. I did get a picture of the Ewok as he was leaving, and passed us in the queue.

Once he calmed down, we were able to promise him we would be there first thing for the 4pm meet and greet. We headed over to the Clone Wars characters instead. The character there was Asajj Ventress. The cm with the character was doing an amazing job of informing everyone in line how long she would be there and when the next character would come out and who it was.

There was a shady spot behind a plantar so Anakin stayed behind there, and ended up meeting a sweet little boy to talk to. The little boy really wanted to see Rex. We were deep in line and knew we would either see Rex or Cody by the time we got up there. Rex was showing the kids how to pose, which made for great photo ops! He showed Anakin where to place both feet, how to hold his light sabor, etc. It was a great interaction!

100_2268.jpg

We got there as the very last family to see Rex. I felt so badly for the little boy. I said something about how badly I felt for him, and Rex heard! He lingered behind and posed together with Cody and the little boy!!!! Disney magic at work! The boy was so happy! And Anakin was so happy for him, he was jumping up and down and flapping for him!

I hadn't noticed this sign before, even after walking by it several times. It's a nice sign showing where the characters are and who is at each spot.

After seeing Captain Rex, they were just getting ready to close the doors at the next show in the theater next door. We decided to pop in there since it still wasn't time to see the Ewok.

Anakin loved this show! He was thrilled with the storm troopers and chewbacca! The lady in front of us had a problem with his enthusiasm. She kept turning around and giving him dirty looks. He is who he is. He is very dramatic. I asked him to try to tone it down a bit, but he couldn't with everyone around us, but her getting into the show.

Arriving late, put us at the back of the theater. My camera did not get very good shots back that far.

Our Pop Century stay was amazing!! We had one of the best Disney vacations this trip!

This was a really quick 2 night stay. It was such a tease and made us want to come back for more Disney resort experiences!!

We began our day on Wednesday with breakfast at the Captain's Grille. This is Grumpy's favorite breakfast spot. This is saying alot, because he never eats breakfast, and he never gets up early by choice. He chose this! We did not get to check in first because it took all we had to make it to our ADR in time from home. The Captain's Grille has an amazing breakfast buffet. There is eggs benedict, breakfast casseroles, potatoes, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, hot and cold cereal, pastries, biscuits and gravy, Mickey waffles, bagels, cream cheese, lox, and I'm probably missing a thing or two. Beverage is included with the buffet.

Grumpy's and Anakin's favorite is bacon!!

hope Anakin got to meet his Ewok later!!
great photo's! looks like you are getting to meet all the characters and see the shows!
off to sub to your new thread.....

Our room number at Pop was 3031. It was back in a nice secluded area of the 70's building. Our view was that of bunnies and squirrels, and a trap for some kind of critter.

I parked all the way around Pop because most of the times we have been in the 70's our room was far from the 70's lot. We unloaded the car and set off to find out room. This time we were actually VERY close to the 70's parking lot. So we had some walking to do that first trip to the room.

Grumpy wanted dh to bring his fishing rod to the resort after work. He didn't think he would use one since he was only staying the first night then headed north to PA on AirTran. But when he looked in that lake and saw the fish, he was itching for his fishing rod!

He caught a nice size bass!

DS agrees that the skeleton is too scary. He originally wanted the Multi-Eyed Jack, but they put paint on the eyelids and he didn't want it near his eyes. They also wouldn't budge on doing the makeover without adding it on his eyes. So we picked Hook for him, since he would play with a hook everytime he found one in a gift shop. It cheered him up. I wished we could have done costumes but they were just not in the budget.

And I agree on waiting until its cooler. DS kept rubbing at his face, and he was absolutely COVERED in black paint. We ended up washing it off right after dinner. His shirt, arms, and face was just black.

He did not get to meet the Ewok. :sad2:

So next weekend when Goofy has off from work, we are going to SWW next Saturday for 3 things. To eat at Sci Fi, to meet an Ewok, and to see the parade.

hope he gets to meet him next weekend!
we LOVE Sci-Fi!!!

If they won't budge about the eyes, then I don't know if Anakin can do it? I pray the day never comes when I have to put eye drops in his eyes. I can't remember, did he have make up on his eyes? I remember the eye brows and face and side burns.

Are you going to book a bounce back vacation? There was a difference offer at CSR when we were there in March than what was at Pop this week. In March it was a free dining offer, now it was a 35% off offer, which works better for us!

I have never booked a bounce back before! I was able to change our date for the one once we got home and found out dh couldn't get off work.

we LOVE Sci-Fi!!!

I hope so too!! I don't think we will tell him our plans, so that he doesn't get disappointed if it doesn't work out.

What do you love best about Sci-Fi? Do you prefer a car, an umbrella table, or picnic table?

The Hook look did not have makeup on the eyes. He got eyebrows, a mustache, 5 o'clock shadow, and that was all. :thumbsup2 A couple of the makeovers had makeup close to the eye, but I think the only one that had it on the eyelid is Multi-faced Jack (maybe Black Eyed Jack).

We didn't get a bounceback offer in the room - like we have years past. I did get one via email (thank goodness I had data on my phone to check it), but it was for 35% off a Mod. Next year, we'll be staying Deluxe, so it wouldn't work for us. We'll wait for a public offer - and worst case, we'll stay offsite. :thumbsup2

I checked the 35% on Deluxe, it's a FL resident offer between June 3 and Aug 13, so that won't help. I'm sure something will come up for you in the near future!
