Our Magical Mondays brought us to Orlando for an appointment. After the appointment it was almost lunch time, but not quite when we left the neurologist.
DH suggested we stop at
Walmart and look at all the Disney merchandise they have. I sure wish our Walmart carried all that stuff!! There were mugs, cups, beach towels, clothing, flips, fanny packs, back packs, hand bags, etc.
Got Grumpy a Grumpy mug and 2 Grumpy shirts. Got Anakin one of those squirter bottle fans with Mickey Mouse on it.
I got my mom a disney bag. Her beach bag is a small bag that is all beat up from years and years of use. I thought this looked so nice and she can use it for other things as well.
Got my dad a little back pack thing
Once we checked out it was around 11am. We decided the Pepper Market was calling!! It's been a long time since we ate there. We arrived just before 11:30 so Anakin tried out his squirter bottle fan.
Wivy was our server and she was amazing!! It wasn't busy. I think we were her only table. If not, she sure made us feel like we were.
The food was so fresh and delicious. I had a small chicken enchilada (burned my thumb when sauce dripped on it when I was plating it) and a slice of chicken quesadilla. From previous experience I knew to stand at the side counter to ask for guacamole. Oh I love guacomole. Or as Anakin would say, "I love me, my guacamole!" The chef had just been there and my timing was bad.
Do you remember the time I waited and waited and everyone looked at me, but nobody would come over there or get the person who was suppose to be there? Not this time. The chef over at the sandwich station saw me. I could see him searching for the other chef from his station. He didn't see him either. He acknowledged my presence, while still looking. When he still didn't see him, he came over to the station and got the sour cream and guacamole for me. I thanked him, maybe over enthusiastically? But I was so excited for that guacamole. That and the churros with icecream keep me coming back!!
Goofy had a little bit of this and a little bit of that. I think the sandwiches are the only things he didn't sample.
He and Anakin went up for 2nds, but came back with this.
At first glance, I thought it was onion rings and icecream. I was ready to ask where he found onion rings, when he exclaimed, "look the churros are round now!"
Anakin had chocolate ice cream with M&M's. Remember how a short while back we thought chocolate was a trigger. Learned through the VEEG it wasn't, guess it was the lower dose of medication causing all that trouble a few weeks back. For lunch, he had pizza, bread stick, and fruit. This was the first time he ever ate their pizza. They must have changed the recipe or something because he said it was great!
From CSR we decided to go to the MK to play SMK. DH's key was ready to start the last round. We were sent to Frontierland for this round. All our previous levels were completed in Fantasyland. As we were on our last portal, we met a fellow sorcerer who kept getting sent to this portal. His entire round sent him to that one portal. He said it was odd, he didn't mind since he didn't have to walk all over. We finished our round, became master sorcerers again, and then it was that guys turn again, lol. We headed over to the SMK kiosk behind the Christmas shoppe. They gave Anakin another pack of cards and asked us where we would like to continue the game. I picked Fantasyland so we wouldn't have parade traffic to deal with.
It was hot outside, 88 degrees and humid. We didn't want Anakin out in the heat too long so we headed over to the hall of presidents to cool down. We decided it was too hot to do another round. We went to Tomorrowland and rode Buzz, then headed to Main St. to see Mickey and Minnie.
Anakin got his first every 999999 on Buzz!!! Yay, congrats to him!! I got 300 some thousand and dh got 600 some thousand. Dh's camera on his phone is terrible so we didn't get pics of it. I was in front of them so I couldn't get a pic either.
It wasn't quite parade time, but it was soon. We got to the M&G and asked if they continue during the parade. The cm told us that Mickey is good, he can use magic to get back and forth between the parade and the M&G without anyone noticing!!
The princess M&G was a 10 minute wait. The Mickey M&G was a 25 minute wait. I asked if that was for real?! I have never seen the princess queue that short! She said it was indeed. So we headed to the princesses.
There was literally NO wait. We were the only family in line. Someone did come in through the fast pass line so they went in ahead of us, then it was us.
Anakin was not thrilled about seeing the princesses first. This was a change from plan and he does not transition easily. It wasn't until he thought about the SMK cards that he got the idea to have the princesses sign their own card. Only problem, I didn't have a permanent marker. I did have a Tink pen and a Woody notebook in my bag that I had brought to take notes at the appointment if I needed to. He used that as an autograph book.
His interaction with Cinderella was awesome!! He was telling her about what her spell card does and how the next time he sees her he'll bring the card for her to sign. He was so animated acting out the effects of the card, but he did pose for a picture. I'm sure the photopass pics are interesting.
Belle was next in line. He went from excited and animated with Cindy to totally calm with Belle as she stroked his hair and cheek.
My Aurora pics didn't get good at all. But he told her all about her card too.
By the time we were done with the princesses, the times had changed. It was 10 for Mickey and Minnie and 25 for the princesses.
On Mickey Mouse Club House, Pete called Mickey, Mickey the Mouse. So Anakin kept repeating it. It entertained the boy in front of us who also must have seen the same episode.
We were places in a holding room that we weren't in before. Or if we were, I sure don't remember it. There was lot of Scrooge McDuck things.
The parade was over by the time we finished with Mickey and Minnie. We headed to the monorail. Once again, we got the Avenger's monorail. That's ride #3!
