Disney donates $100,000 to red cross

Not sure if this is in other forums but thought I post here because I am praising Disney for doing something good finally

There are ALOT of Cast Members who have family in Hati and who are former residents. The r is a man who works with me who was on vacation when the earthquake hit and they havnt heard from him to know if he is okay or not. His whole family is there, Its pretty sad

I suppose it's still generous, nonetheless. But I mean, Madonna donated $250k and Sandra Bullock donated $1mm! Surely Disney, a HUGE corporation, could at least do what *individuals* are doing.

I'm proud to say that the company I work for donated $1mm, and they're matching donations made by associates.

I couldn't agree more! There are individuals with FAR less money than this HUGE Corporation that are donating a much larger sum. I am happy that they are donating, but I feel they could do MUCH more.

It's nice they're donating but really cough it up Disney. They have so many people working for them that are Haitian and directly affected.

Instead of GAD they should just Give it to Haiti

I'm happy that Disney has given but considering how much they continually increase admission and AP rates every year along with other fee hikes such as parking, stroller, wheelchair, increase in resort beverage mugs, meals, etc....the list is endless. $1,000,000 should be minimal for Disney!

Yeah, it is from their corporate site, but they do good alot, including donating $220000 to the LA County Boys and Girls clubs. "Finally" may not be fair....although I agree, $100000 seems to be small fries compared to the billions they are worth with such a huge tragedy, but we have no idea what donations or accomodations they are making that they don't do a press release for. Just sayin....

They have set up things for Castmember to get in touch with family in Hati so they are doing more that just that minimal ammount.
