Disney Dolphin/Swan SPG pros - hotel does not participate in SPG??

I am booked for a stay at the Dolphin in Disney World in early Dec. I just noted my reservation with a request and noticed that under SPG info was this line:
"Please note: This hotel does not participate in Starwood Preferred Guest."
What? I booked there partially due the points. If I knew this I would have stayed at the Hilton since I'm HH Gold & SPG Gold. Well, I really would have stayed at a Disney Vacation Club resort but they're all booked on the day I need. Anyhow, is this the case? Do they not partake in SPG? Will I receive points? (More importantly ) An upgrade?
The "Please note: This hotel does not participate in Starwood Preferred Guest." was not shown to me until after I had booked.

I have stayed at the Dolphin several times and always received points. I'd call the SPG phone number and double check if I were you. It's listed on the spg website when you search for hotels in Orlando and gives you the option to use points to stay.

Staying at the Dolphin is how I earn all my points!

Ditto....earned ours between the Sheraton Towers Chicago, Sheraton in Milwaukee and the Dolphin...never had that mesage before. And we have ALWAYS gotten an upgrade, from base level to gold, and we have not stayed on "Platinum" yet, but unless it was NYE and booked to it's little dolphin gills, I figure we would at least get a standard to lake view upgrade. Our last visit/upgrade was during Christmas week... balconey, MGM side overlooking MGM,Osborne lights, grotto pool...oh, and the view of some guests who REALLY needed to close their window coverings ...at least the sheers...but that is a WHOLE 'nother thread!
