I have been purchasing Disney Dollars slowly but surely at my local disney store's in order to "save" for spending money for our June trip. Yesterday I was told that my closest store hasn't had them for 2 months and has no idea when they will get them--yikes!! Any ideas here--have I missed something?

I saw another thread that mentioned WDW has recalled all the current D$, because they are releasing a new style in honor of the 50th celebration. You can still get D$ by mail order by faxing 407-363-6200 (I think somebody said to included your name, address, phone #, credit card #, how many and what denominations --- and be prepared for a s/h charge.)

I work for The Disney Store and I know many of our guests are getting frustrated because we're out of Disney Dollars. They currently are redesigning them for the big celebration and they should be released by the time the celebration starts. We're unable to order them because they only send them to us in allotments, so we have no control over how much we get. They did give us a mail order number for both DL and WDW to give to guests. I don't have the number on me now (there's a number to actually call, so you don't have to use a fax) so hopefully someone else will post it before I get to work. We have been told by them, however, that they will NOT mail it out, that it will have to be picked up at Guest Services. Many of our guests who have called the number have been told the same thing. Maybe they do send them out, but everything we've heard from guests and been told by TWDC is that they will not mail them (primarily because it's like mailing cash).
