Disney Dollars

Those are great. Thanks so much for posting. I love my Disney Dollars. :cool1:

Those are darling. I just went to my local disney store and bought some from 2005, which was great because we went then, and I did not know about Disney Dollars. Something new for my scrapbook!

Those are super cute! I'll make sure we buy some when we visit in May! :goodvibes

This may be a really silly question, but what is the difference between 2008 A editions, and 2008 D?

I assume that because they are treated like cash, that you get change back when you use them?? Considering getting some now for use in the park in a couple months...

Yep. And if you don't use them all, and don't want to scrapbook them (I would take a picture of the disney dollar and put the picture in my scrapbook, LOL), you can turn them back in for cash at the end of your trip!

Since I don't like dealing with cash at Disney, and since the outdoor vending carts I noticed for Mickey Bars don't seem to take cards of any kind (if someone has a specific example of where you can buy a MB with a card tell me!!!!!), I"m planning on bringing Disney Dollars for that purchase. :) Last time, when I realized they didn't take cards, by the time I went to Greetings from CA, convinced them that they do, truly, have DD in their register, and was able to buy some, the ODV carts were closed. This time I'm getting them asap (just cashed out with the rewards site I do for 20 bucks worth of DDollars, LOL). :goodvibes

What type of rewards thing do you do? I have mine, but I'm always looking for other good ones. :thumbsup2

And I have to tell you, I think you were the person I was reading who buys the gift cards for the days you are there so you don't have to deal with your other cards/lots of cash, right?

I did that on our trip last month and let me tell you, it was the greatest thing!! I had about $40 in cash though, just for things like the carts and stuff (cause I didn't want to deal with the DD after Albort said what a PITA he and some of the other CM's thought they were ;) ) And I had a set amount for each day, and I even came home with a whole card, which I'm saving for my next trip! It was great! I just kept the cards in my zippered lanyard pouch, worked perfect!!) And dh never worried about how much money I was spending since he knew how much I had on the cards, and I only used the GC's for purchases.

I have to say the only drawback to my plan was part of my budget was stuff in DTD and I realized too late that I couldn't use the GC's in DTD except at the World of Disney. duh me  . So, as longwinded and thread jacky as that was, I just wanted to say thanks for the great tip! :rotfl2:
