Disney Dollars Questions

Okay... so I was thinking about getting my bridesmaid Disney dollars for her birthday.

Can I still by these from the Disney Store at the mall eventhough they're now owned by the Children's Place?

What can the Disney Dollars be used for besides merchandise and food? Could she apply them to a park ticket or a room?

Yes! You can still buy Disney Dollars at the Disney Store, and yes, you can use them anywhere on Disney property for anything.

It took me about 10 years of going to Disneyland monthly to figure out that I could buy Disney Dollars with a credit card at City Hall instead of getting charged to withdraw cash from the ATM at the bank on Main Street.

We're giving our guests 1 Disney Dollar... why? Who knows! We bought half at TDS, but our local stores only carried the Little Mermaid dollar. We were told that you can buy the Pirates one at the theme parks, which is where we are supposed to buy the other half if I ever remember to buy them.

Lurkyloo-- Great tip on buying DD from Guest Services. I needed cash recently and paid the surcharge at an Epcot ATM-- doh!

We got the Pirates of the Caribbean ones at DTD (there were 3 designs) in May because we're doing pirate bags for our rehearsal dinner. They are so cute! We're also only giving out one per person.

On our wedding day a gentleman walked up to me and my girls and told me it was considered lucky to give the bride a $1.(the girls and I were waiting for DH and their husbands to return from getting all their stuff out of where they got ready) So maybe you are just passing that luck on to them.
