Can I use Disney Dollars on the Ship? I know there is no money exchanged but instead of letting them scan my credit card can I give them disney dollars?

You can use cash and exchange money at any time at the Pursers (guest relations) desks. You can apply Cash or Disney dollars to your account at anytime for your charging privledges. We usually open the account with a credit card and then the night before we go home we go down to the desk and pay the balance in cash.

Thank you for responding so quickly. I was thinking of buying maybe $100 worth of Disney Dollars per month prior to the cruise and thought that I would use them instead of a credit card.

You can use them, no problem. At the end of the cruise if you have credit left over you have the choice of getting Disney Dollars back or regular cash. They are very flexible.

Oh and by the way I assume "Tweetsie" is for the Railroad since you are in NC... Just had to give you thumbs up on that one... I am a HUGE railroad fan (and Tweetsie did the rehabs on the Disney trains so kudos to them) :)

We are putting everything on our Disney Visa now. Food, gas, ect. everything except bills. I pay it off every month. We are up to $70 in Disney dollars. Our cruise is next September and I hope to have quite a bit of our spending money this way.

Disney Dollars can be bought at Guest relations in any WDW theme park. CMs will also give them to you out of their tills if they have them.
