Disney Dollars or Gift Card

I know that I have saw several posting that they were going to give their kids dis dollars.. Is this something that everywhere in the parks take? When we went on our honeymoon I had a Disney Store gift card and they wouldn't accept it so I wanted to make sure that I got something they could use... Another thing.. we are going for 1 week do you think $100 (broken down to $20/day) is appropriate?? I know that things can be somewhat high down there so I wanted to make sure they got things they wanted verses junk! Granted mommy can help the baby pick out her things!!

Disney Dollars are taken everywhere in Disney I have even used them to tip at Disney restaurants(now that the DDP no longer includes gratuity)- My family loves them

A Disney Store gift card is different then a WDW Resort Gift card. The reason it didn't work is because it's exclusively for the Disney Store. You can get a WDW Resort Gift Card at the Disney store but you need to specify.

Disney Dollars are accepted all over WDW. The cards are too (except maybe a free standing cart with no credit card swipe machine)
