Disney Dollars (incentive)

I want to use Disney Dollars as an incentive for my 9 year old (i.e., doing extra things around the house can earn Disney Dollars to spend on our trip). Where/How can I purchase Disney Dollars online prior to arriving at WDW?

I don't know if you can purchase online anywhere, but you can buy them at the Disney Store. If it is not close to you, maybe you can find a TN for one in TX and call them and ask. Good luck.

I don't think you can order them online, but you can call 1-407-827-4050 and they will send them to you.

my girls (9 & 4) had fun making "disney dollars". we cut some computer paper into squares and they decorated them with stamps, stickers, and markers. i have a stack of them that they've been earning for spending money and they each have a little wallet that they keep them in. i'm planning to buy some real disney dollars for them to replace these homemade ones with. (our trip isnt until may) this should also make it easier because then i can get the larger denominations and not be walking around disney with a huge stack of $1 bills. for now, i have written down how many they have earned and i dont have to worry about being out any "real" money if they misplace a few.

I think that's a good idea about the homemade disney dollars. My oldest would be ok with the real thing but the 3 year old would definately lose it. This way she wouldn't be losing real money. And I could keep her real disney dollars in my purse in her own envelope. We aren't going for awhile so I've got some time to plan.

When I saw the thumbs down symbol on the thread title the first thing I thought was... oh, that idea didn't work for them either.
We thought we would do the samething for DS8 and DS5 but neither one of them thought Disney Dollars were worth picking up their rooms for.

I am planning on making our own money and using it as allowance and when we go to DW (not til december or january09) buying my kids 8,6, & 2 Gift cards so we don't have to worry about loosing cash.
