Disney Dollars..(I need to buy some!)

I don't know if this belongs here...sooo

We are planning a trip Dec 2011, however the kids get Disney Dollars for their gifts and their allowance. The Disney Store no longer sales them and I live in NM.

I was told that I can send in a check to the Disneyland Ticket Mail Order and buy some, however cannot talk to a 'live' person there to verify. Does anyone else have any ideas..

I know that they have gift cards,however my children like the idea of their own 'money'

Try calling Disneyland Guest Services.

As far as I know, they only sell them AT the parks now.

Something many people consider is to make their own disney money, and then exchange it at the parks once you can get the actual Disney Dollars. Of course you do have to make sure you have the real money set aside to do that.

Yeah, in the park or at a Disney Hotel. I had read that the took them out of the stores a while ago.

Start by calling DelivEARS at 800-362-4533. They'll either be able to help you, or pass you along to Ticketing who also can. Great idea to use these for the kids!

I know I should just call them myself, but I only seem to think of it when I am at work and can't call - does anyone know what the delivery fee is when you use DelivEARS? Do they have a "Spend X amount of money and get free shipping" offer?
SO many things I wished I could have bought in the parks and it seems like the websites that sell park merchandise have pretty big markups + the shipping fees.

What about Disney Gift cards? I've been picking those up for my upcoming trips. I got a couple at the Disney store and at the gift card "section" at my grocery store too.

FYI for those in Calif who shop at a Safeway/Vons that has a gas station and does the fuel discount - buying $50 in Disney Gift cards this week got me the 10¢ fuel discount!

What I do is take an image off of google images and put it into photoshop so I can print it many times on the same sheet of paper and use those and then exchange them in park.

Yes...as far as I know you can only get them at the parks..we are taking son and his wife and family to DLR in January and they wanted to give the kids Disney Dollars so called the store and shopping to see about them and were told you had to get them in a park. I happened to be there for D23 Destination D so they called me to pick them up for them which I did at the gift shop at the DLH (the little shop didn't have them, only the Fantasia shop)

I miss Disney Dollars. Our Disney Stores closed a couple years ago now, so it's been awhile, but growing up, there was nothing more exciting than getting a Disney Dollar in your Christmas stocking, or on Christmas morning...I didn't know they could still be purchased at all. If they can still be purchased at the parks, I want to get some on my next trip!

Thank you all for your posts! I called deliverEars and they gave me the number to the Mail Order Tickets and called them and found out that you can by them via mail, plus 10$ for shipping.

Crisis solved! My kids now will be able to earn there own spending money!
