So...I was doing some cleaning and came across some Disney Dollars. The catch is they are from 1987, and are the old ones with blue paper and a picture of Mickey. Do these expire, or do you think I might still use them? Thanks!

At Disney they are treated the same as cash and cash doesn't expire, so I would think they'd be fine to use. However, since they are fairly old they may be worth more as collectable items then currency.

Thanks, good point! These are in really good condition, just a single fold from when I stuck them in a wallet once. Maybe I'll hold on to them for twenty more years ;)

Hey, I have some of those, too! Only one is a Goofy $5 and one is a Mickey $1. I even still have the gift envelopes they put them in.....Fun!! I haven't thought of spending them, but I guess if I ever get hard pressed for souvie money, I have at least $6 to fall back on....:rotfl:

Some of these are worth quite alot on Ebay ( I sold an old 5.00 for a nice sum) Just check completed items with your date and such and see.

Do not spend them! Like some of the previous posters said, you can sell them on eBay for more than their value.

Yes, this! Last year, I sold some $1s and $5s for ALOT more than their face value...and had a good amount of spending $ for my trip!
