Hi, I am planning my sister-in-laws bridal shower. She is going to disneyworld and the disney cruise for her honeymoon. I want to somehow tell people on her shower invite that disney dollars would also be a great gift, and then tell them where she is registered. How do I word it on the invite? I realize it is like asking for cash and that can be tacky...maybe a poem or something?
Thanks!!!

A poem would be cute.Ask her if shes registered on Disneys honeymoon registry.

I also like the poem idea. Another option is to include a small card (business card sized or smaller) mentioning where they are registered or that Disney Dollars/Disney Gift Card are wonderful options as they are HMing at WDW. Although doing this does not fit proper wedding ettiquete, but it does provide guests with ideas.

I made an attempt at a poem for your invite mentioning Disney $. But beware it is very corny as it was done rather quickly. It's just to give you an idea that's all.

Jack and Sally are about to embark on a journey that is like no other,
They are to sail the seas, and see the World with eachother.
A perfect gift would be that of Disney Dollars to use in this special land,
As a way to send them off, to all that is planned.
But this is no everyday money,
But money to be spent in the company of a honey.
A honey of a Pooh Bear, and two mice with big ears,
After a week of memories, that will be remembered for years.

As the previous post says, see if she's registered at disneyhoneymoons.com - basically she can "register" for dinners, accommodations, spa treatments, etc. and guests can buy increments of money that are put on a card that she can use at WDW and on the cruise. I am pretty sure you can print out cards on the site that state that the bride is registered there - or you can include it like you would any other registry!
Good luck! :thumbsup2

RangerPooh...that peom is great! Thank you soo much! I looked into the honeymoon registry and most of her family are not computer literate and it would just confuse them!! lol....thanks everyone!

my friend had a baby shower & called it a pampered party...so everyone was asked to bring "pampers" & the host even assigned sizes to people....you could try & kinda theme it like that

or at my baby shower...my girlfriends asked my about my theme & i said I wanted books, so on all the invites the put something like"help cori build her library, please include a book of your choice to add to her collection" or something like that.....but you could add that to the invites.....maybe ask people contribute a few disney dollars with their gift and make the range from $1 up to $20..then they can do a gift, but also have the DD as an extra bonus & it wont break the bank cause they can do $1....as for wording, Im stuck...i need to think a little more
