Can Disney dollars be spent for snacks at the vendors like cash?

Yes, yes, yes! Anywhere that takes cash, takes your mouse money! If you break a big bill, they usually give you regular cash as change, but I have on occassion had a castmember ask if I would like a few Disney Dollars as change. I am a big fan of Disney Dollars as I use it to stash away money for a trip and there is no place to spend it at home!

To answer your question...no you cannot buy snakes with Disney Dollars, but you can buy snacks....

I bought mine at the Disney Store. I have been taking all my spare cash and getting DD's with it for a couple of months for our upcoming trip. I knew that way, I would save some and not spend it all elsewhere before we go. Now I have almost $300 extra fun money!!

Ok, technically, I think you can buy snakes with Disney Dollars! Check the store as you come out of POTC in Magic Kingdom or the store near the Indiana Jones Stunt Show at MGM! I've also seen some very pretty painted ones in Mexico at EPCOT.

I personally love converting garage sale or other "found" money like rebates or presents into Disney Dollars at the Disney Store. I keep at least one bill back every trip so that I have to return to spend it. I've got a Goofy five in my wallet to remind me to save for DL in January! It helps with impulse buying.

taht is what we do - we pick them up anytime we are at the mall - even $10 increments add up fast!

mouseketeer_mom . I live in western maryland and we dont have a disney store here either . Someone on this board told me they had them at the Hagerstown mall. I went last week and got them there. I couldnt find them on disney shopping website but they do have the gift cards on there.
