Disney does not want or need FastPass+ Haters business!

I don't understand the FP+ lovers insisting we must give it a chance before we decide "to take our toys to a different sandbox". I know how we tour WDW and how we like to vacation at any destination. I know that the limit of 3 FP, the restriction of only being able to use it in one park, and the tiering does not work with how we like to tour WDW. I don't need to give it a chance to know that ;)
And FTR, I don't like to be compared to a baby just because I'm not choosing to continue to support WDW after they change their "products and services" to something I know I will not enjoy. I guess it makes you feel better to insult us just because we are "attacking" your Disney. I think some of you need to step back from your Disney love if you can't accept critcism of that corporation's decisions :confused3

It just seems quite irrational and immature to me to quit on your favorite vacation destination before giving it a chance to work out the glitches. When fastpass was first introduced it was a bit of a clusterx as was the original toy story FP line and I think they did a great job with both in the end. Obviously or we wouldn't be so upset with new changes. Not sure why people are still on the Disney fan site if no longer into vacationing there. Aren't there universal enthusiasts sites to complain on?

After reading some more people's thoughts on the 80/20 principle, I think I've cracked the code.

I think some of us have been looking at this problem all wrong. We've been assuming that the die-hard loyal return guests are the 20%. Perhaps not.

Apparently WDW's research indicated that the 20% of people providing the vast majority of their profits were the 20% of guests who complained about not being able to get a TSMM FP after 11am. FP+ solves this problem and keeps that 20% happy. I can only assume that these are the people spending all the money at WDW. Hence, the need to overhaul the FP system to placate this small minority.

Is this sarcasm? Or are you for serious?

Some people cant continue to shell out that kind of cash while they work out their glitches. And some have their trips plan for NOW or SOON and so these glitches affect them. So to me it is not irrational or immature to discuss and be concerned and even bemoan that the WDW we have grown to love and travel to are frequently changing the rules at their whim.

I have no interest in Universal, too many simulator rides for my guys. So depsite the fact that I am not a fan of FP+, I am not heading there. So I stick around here in hopes that WDW actually LISTENS to their guests about what we like about the system and what we dont. I mean as soon as that tiering hit, you had people jump from one side to another. So I will continue to read here, continue to post and continue to bemoan a system that they changed for no good reason. This system had potential but they should have tailored the bands to handle FP+ similar to FP-. Let people schedule 1 or 2 from home and then get more when they enter the park.

But we dont need to be compare to preschoolers and sandboxes bc we continue to read and post here

Some people are willing to gamble multiple thousands of dollars on a glitch-filled system. Some are not. Maybe the PP is watching here, hoping that Disney will make revisions to make the system less of a gamble for their family's vacation dollars?

I see that your children are very young. In some ways that is fortunate for you because you don't have a thrill rider asking to do their favorite ride "one more time" when your FPs are gone and standby is 90 minutes. But in other ways that will work against you. As your 3 year old ages, at what point will you be willing to commit one of your limited FP slots on a ride they haven't tried yet? Kids are notorious for changing their minds when it comes to those thrill rides. Before our last trip, if I had to schedule before leaving home, I would have never risked a spot on ToT. My daughter SWORE she would never ride it. Turns out it was the high point (pun intended) of the trip for her. She rode it 5 or 6 times in a row one night (with the help of FP) and made friends with one of the creepiest CMs there. She had a ball and still talks about it more than a year later. That is the sort of thing you will notice about this system as your kids get older.

Plus I am seeing just as many people bemoaning the system who have now tried it as I am people who like it. And they too are entitled to their opinion and should be allowed to post. Their feedback is just as important.

For me I want the feedback of people who toured like my family did/does who made FP+ work for the best. I dont want to read how much a family who goes just to soak in the atmosphere, or doesnt have thrill seekers, how much they love FP+. I am glad that group likes FP+ and I am glad it works for them but I want to see the people who tour like I do post the good and the bad, and even just their thought process even if they havent step foot through the gates in a bit but know WDW.

Well said!:thumbsup2

Not to mention that I just got to pull an average of 8 FPs/day(16 if you count DWs;)) at Disneyland last week. I don't have to visit WDW again in the future until they 1)add something new that doesn't involve Dwarfs and 2) this FP+ debacle is ironed out. I know it won't work for us without having to try it out. It's not rocket science.

I think its quite immature to insult people because they are speaking negatively about a corporation that you love.
I also think its quite irrational and irresponsible to spend thousands of dollars on something you know you won't enjoy :confused3
As it is now, these glitches are how it is. My last WDW vacation cost $7K, I'm not about to spend that kind of money on those glitches, because I know that my family will not be happy.
As far as the Universal sites, I don't need to go to them to complain about Disney, I'm free to do that on a Disney board, this is where people come for info and other's opinions about Disney. If you can't accept there may be negative opinions then maybe it should be you that finds other interests besides Disney and sites devoted to them, you might be taking things a little too personally :confused3

From here forward, we should just refer to your recent trip as "FP-palooza"!

My daughter gives me the stink-eye right now when I suggest going anywhere other than DLR.

And on the up side....... I LOVED flying over the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam! :cool1:

I would say that the marginalization of AP holders and DVC members is a start. They are increasing costs for DVC holders, making it less economically efficient to actually own DVC, and especially inefficient by purchasing directly from Disney. A much smaller PAP discount this year. It really only makes sense if you're using the Water Parks and More option.

I hardly feel marginalized. They give $145 off APs and PAPs year round. Yes, in 2012 the PAP 3 month promo was $300 off and this year it's $245 off. But that's still huge, 34% off. They didn't have to give anything extra or even the $145 off anytime. When I bought 14 years ago, the AP discount was ZERO. My maintenance dues went up 3% this year, hardly anything to complain about.

I like the sound of that!:dance3:

I got your daughter a souvenir TOT FP...I don't know if you saw that one. ;)

Awesome! Now, if only we could get them to take it 8 or 9 months after the return window. ;)

I actually liked ToT better at DLR. I'm a weenie on that ride and the DLR version was a little tamer, so right up my alley.

Our claim to fame in December was riding California Screamin' 6 times in a row in the 38 degree weather. We would have kept riding (seeing as the line was so short in the cold) but my frozen ears kept bouncing off the side of the seat and I finally cried "uncle!"

I like TOT better at DLR, too. But we actually think the drops are more intense and longer than DHS. Yeah, you don't have the little ride through portion but they make up for it with a scenario that doesn't happen at DHS. We rode TOT 5 times in a row one morning and another morning we rode CS 4 times in a row. Of course that was at 70 degree temps. ;) Oh, and we rode TSMM many times as a walk on or 10 minute wait. I think my elbow still hurts from that. It's amazing what a new attraction will do to take the pressure off of another. :rolleyes1

Fine, rub it in. :snooty: We did finally break 60 on our last day there. :faint:

We actually walked right past TSMM and Soarin with low wait times more than once. Just to prove we could. :p

Please stop telling the millions of WDW fans how short our wait times can be at DL and DCA on a slow day! :lmao:

Actually, mom didn't go at a slow time...she went during December on a very high crowd level week. Ours was crowded because kids were off for Washington's birthday last Monday. We still rode Radiator Springs 3 times in 45 minutes....first by getting there at RD and then twice in the Single Rider line (we were in the same car both times to boot). We then walked over and walked on TSMM twice in a row.
