Disney Discount Villas

Hi,
My DH and I have checked into the DisneyDiscountVillas for our vacation in Jan and we were just sent a quote of $781 for eight nights for a 3 bedroom 2 bath with private heated pool and fully furnished. Does this sound like a good deal and has anyone ever used these Villas before? They are not a time share and don't require you to attend any meeting. We also have another couple coming with us to split the cost so it would come out to $390.50 per couple
They are located very close to WDW.

I just rented a four bd/ 3ba home for 560.00 wk (incl taxes). The house is apprx 15 mins from park, but so far, best deal I've found.

Did the Villas have same benifits as on site resorts? I would appreciate your help!!

I found the site while searching everywhere to get good deals, the site is www.DisneyDiscountVillas.com and the rentals are through Sunsplash.com.
I'm not sure about benefits, if anyone else knows let me know too.

I would be seriously worried about the location of these "villas" it is very easy to make this look like a good deal but if you are an hour away from the action then you might not be happy bunnies.
I can find no mention on their site of the location. Some companies will tell you that their villas are 15 minutes or 20 minutes from Disney but not the actual location until you get there, 15 minutes can easily turn into 45 minutes and so on!
If you rent a house on US27 although most of them will be wonderful homes they can be a bit far out, however if you do not mind a bit of travelling, as I said before the houses are lovely.

Thanks Elle, for your input, I have been still checking and have found some nice off properties thru Hotelkingdom.com and they list how far and some have complimentary shuttles, and at resonable rates for 2bed2bath rooms

Thanks for the site to check out, I see they have availability for the week we want to go in Jan. and the web site says they are having a special for Jan & Feb.

A couple of questions (I e-mailed you this eariler, not sure if you got it?) When you booked for Mar. did they give an address where it is located? I'm trying to figure out how far we will have to drive to get to the parks. Are you renting a car or are you driving to Florida? We would like to get out of a lot of driving to get to the parks.
