Disney Direct Warning--UPDATED!!!

Here's an FYI to any of you who pkaced a Disney Direct order recently and were supposed to receive a free snowglobe. The snowglobes are SOLD OUT, so you may not get one!!! I just tried to cancel, but they said it was too late.


GRRRRR...this does NOT make me happy!!!!

My order was delivered on Thursday, and my free tinkerbell best guest gift was shattered. I was so disappointed that I called DD and told them to send me a shipping label prepaid so I can send back the two disney sled lawn blowups that I bought and the shattered in a milliion bits best guest gift. The two sleds weighed 28 lbs, who would put in a delicate piece in the same shipping box? CM said he would send me a free ornament for my trouble.

Sorry to hear they are sold out. I got my order last week and got the free snowglobe and tinkerbell best guest item (and free shipping) and both arrived in perfect conditions. They should've substituted something for the sold out snowglobe if it was already on your order.

I placed and order a few days ago. I am suppossed to get the Mickey/Minnie snowglobe free. Does anyone know what it looks like? I didn't really look at it when I was placing my order. Then when I went back to look at it, they didn't have them anymore. I am curious to see what it looks like. I was really happy to get a free gift. I was planning on spending the money anyway.

Disney Store is also giving away the Tink Snowglobe! Bought DD a bunch of Incredibles stuff for Christmas and I got the free globe! Tink is already sitting on the end table in the Living room Thought it was a nice gift for free!

I'm very upset that we arenn't getting a diff free item in exchange. I've called Disney Direct and written them an e-mail. I don't know if it will do any good, but we'll see....I'll be sure to keep you posted.

I placed an order and met the qualifcations for the free tinkerbell crystal treasurebox but there was nothing in with my delivered order. I called Disney Direct and they said they were all sold out of the treasurebox's but they would send me a mickey/minnie crystal ornament in its place. I just got confirmation that it was shipped today. I would definitely call back and ask for a substitute.

I am best guest customer, but when I placed order with customer service, only got snowglobe. I spent the required $$ and just figured you couldn't get both tinker bell as well as snow globe..

now I am reading some of you got both...

well guess I should be happy that snowglobe on the way.

anyone else have this problem of not getting both free items???

minijeanne, I got both. You had to spend $100 for the free snowglobe (I think it's cheaper now) and you had to spend $175 for the free tinkerbell box. When I place my order online the items magically appeared as I reached each goal. I was surprised also, but did nothing to initiate these items get added, so assumed the computer knew what it was doing. I also got the free shipping. And, in addition, to the extras, even got hubby's CM discount on top. wow, what a deal.

BTW: you had to reach $175 after any discounts were taken off. Did you use any other special? besides the snowglobe, like a code?

Well, I received the standared, canned, response from Disney regarding the e-mail I sent.....The response did not address my problem, and I'm still not satisfied, so I guess I will be writting a letter....

I've been a Best Guest now for about 10 years and have to say that sometimes they just run out of stuff. They put right on all their promotional stuff "while supplies last" and they really mean it. For future reference, the fastest disappearing stuff is anything crystal. Seems like that stuff is usually gone within 7 days of the offer start-up. They do, however, USUALLY substitute something for you if they have anything else hanging around, but there have been a few times when I was just simply out of luck! Good luck everyone on getting your snow globes and Tinkerbell!

Finally, after 2 phone calls and an e-mail, I have a solution I am happy with. Disney Direct is refunding my original shipping charges, sending me a postage-paid label to return my order, and giving me a $15.00 dollar gift card. Ashley, the CM who resolved this for me, was WONDERFUL!!!

Now I'm happy

I placed an order last week and the Mickey & Minnie Shimmering Silver Snowglobe just showed up in my shopping cart. I was very excited. My order still shows active. I did not get any notice for the snowglobe running out. How did you guys find out the snowglobe is sold out?

yes, I spent in excess of $200 but only got snowglobe...I also had to pay shipping charges.

told them I was best guest but no shakes there. Original order I placed on line added tax. My order was for clothing and I don't pay tax in NJ, so that is when I called up CM.

anyhow, it is what it is. I couldn't resist buying that cute tinkerbell hat/gloves/scarf with string backpack to go with it. so adorable. actually bought 2 sets along with the sweatshirt.

love the tink!!!!!!!!!

I went to my local Disney store today. They are giving away the tink snow globe for purchase over $40. I got one. Still hope the Mickey and Minnie one will come with my order.

I got my email last night. They wait until they ship the order to let you know. I also should qualify as a best guest but have never received anything on that. Guess I will give them a call. Disappointed about the snowglobe.

Could someone post a picture of the Tinkerbell Snowglobe that they got at the Disney Store.

I got the same email that they had run out of the Tinkerbell jewelry box so I just called my personal shopper and asked for the tinkerbell paperweight instead. She was happy to add it with no problems.

I placed another order and the Best Guest items were not showing up in my cart even though my order was over the $175 mark. I just called them again and they told me I could either have the tinkerbell paperweight or the Mickey and Minnie Ornament.
