Disney Dinning Plan glitch

Another glitch you really need to watch out for is - my dh ordered 2 coffees on the dining plan and was charged for two cs meals. I saw it on the receipt and had it fixed - but be sure when you order anything you check wghat they are charging you for! I do not know if coffee is a covered beverage or not - but I would gladly pay out of pocket for it rather than use up a counter service meal credit!

Now I'm confused....if we use the CS credit for breakfast, can my beverage be coffee?

disney is making out on the deal trust me I know many many people who have purchased the plan and not used it all.... it was just next too impossible to get in all the snacks etc... even if you save the vouchers and pay for the childs meal you are still giving them MORE money! I also think it depends on the server cause we were at Cinderellas Castle and they gave the people next o use a hard time told them the kids had to order kids meals at dinner... and from what i hav read most places allow the kids to purchase adult meals... was really hoping to be able to use this plan for our upcoming trip but we already have passes so we cannot "sigh" oh well i guess our resident discount will haveto do.... :)

All of our TS were buffets except for one which my girls were not there for, but when using the CS they never made my DD order from the kids menu. She always had adult portion lunches. She doesn't eat PB& J and not a fan of chicken nuggets...But man can she put away some BBQ ribs..LOL Plus most of the time DH would go sit down with both DD's so they had no clue who I was ordering for. I know this is kinda unavoidable with a sit down meal.

Yes. But most coffee drinkers get the resort mug it seemed. We bought 2 resort mugs for us grown ups, and then used our drinks for the kids - oj, choc milk or a juice box. But if we didn't have the mug a soft drink or coffee would be ok.

The problem that person had was they bought 2 coffees, confused the cashier!

Even with our two children ordering off the children's menus (as is the intention as outlined in the brochure) it was a ton of food; almost too much, actually. I know lots of people do it this way but I can't imagine wanting to pay out of pocket for kids meals and then order more adult meals. :crowded: Just curious, how did you eat all this food?? :confused3

I think the thing is in this case is to not order extra meals but take advatage and eat at all the "great" restaraunts that would normally cost 2 ts (ie california grill, jiko etc) and also do dinner shows or whatever and use it for breakfast- that is what i would do...just a thought?

What is this Disney Dinning plan I keep reading about? Is it related to the Disney Dining plan?

Since my dd barely eats anything at all, does this mean she can nibble off my plate at every meal and we can save up her credits for more meals for us? :confused3 You've GOT to be kidding me!

My 'kids' are considered adults on the dining plan, but they certainly don't eat like adults. From what I am reading can I 'share' a plate at times, my daughter who is 17. She is overcoming anorexia and to get her to eat an apetizer, an entree and a desert won't happen, even when the appetizer is a salad, she'll be full. My son is 14 and a sometimes good eater so he'll be ok.

YES, sharing means anyone can nibble off of someone else's plate. You can order as many or as few meals as you wish and you will be deducted one credit per order (appet, drink, main dish, dessert). You can either order all or only one of these things.
