I just requested my first DDE card today and when she quoted the price, she said $75 for two cards, which I thought meant me & DH. Nope I was able to get my MIL one in her name, which is great since we live in Germany and are probably only going to be using it for this trip. My MIL will still be able to take advantage of the savings since she has an AP and lives in Tampa this way I will definitely get my money out of it!

Hello! I just got my Disney Dining Experience cards recently...we will be using them for the first time in a few weeks, and I can't wait! I just got one in my name and one in my DH's name. i did not think to get one in someone elses name, that is a good idea! Cuz DH and I are always together at WDW, so what is the point of us BOTH having a card, ya know?

My question for you is this...when you go to WDW and try to use the card, do you have a FL ID to show? You need to be a FL resident to have the card. Or will you be going with your MIL? Just wondering.

Anyway, have fun. getting 20% off is SWEEEEET! Yippee for us!

Yes you are suppose to have a Florida ID and my understanding is the wait staff will ask for it...at least the majority of the time. We are Florida Residents, DH is in the Military and we both still have our Floirda DL. Dh and I are laways together also, or I go without him, so that is why I got one for my MIL.

Oh, then you are COVERED! Have fun and tell your hubby "thanks" for serving our country!

The Disney Dining Experience Card is great. We have saved so much money over the time we have had it. Make sure you utilize it to the fullest.

And by the way, they just upped how many people you can get a discount for from 6 diners to 10 diners. :D

Maybe you know the answer to a question I may have posted in the wrong spot. How do you go about finding the special EPCOT parking with the DDE card? Thanks!

I am a CM so I haven't had to worry about this type of discount. But, my Mom is moving to FL. Does the DDE allow 20% off all resturants? This would be nice for her when she is not with me!

Terry- If I knew how to copy and paste I would post it, but I am so computer illiterate it is amazing I can even post a message! LOL! Hopefully someone else will...or if you do a search on this board you will find it. As a matter of fact, I think someone posted it on a thread that I started. I will try to find it. Basically it is good at All resort restaurants, lounges (which I am very happy about) and some DTD restaurants. For some reason it is slipping my mind right now whether it is good at restaurants in the parks.

26555-I would like to know that, too, as we have a PS for Akershus later this month and I have never driven to Epcot...only ridden the monorail. Hopefully someone out there knows.

Dizneykid-Thanks for that info! I did not know that!

Terry,
Yes most of the restauants are covered with the DDE card...if you want specifics check it out on allearsnet.com! It is a heck of a deal for people who go often.

OT but how long have you been a CM? Dh was a train engineer at Busch Gardens for 10yrs and I am always trying to convince him that he should get out of the AF and become a CM at Disney, LOL. But he won't do it :( Maybe after he retirees!

Terry-I bumped up the thread I started. There is a link there that has all the restaurants listed! Check it out!

Thank you and I will! Most days I think of it as his job, although one to be proud of, but today we found out that we lost a friend in Iraq yesterday and the reality of it all just hit me in the face. We are AF and so was our friend and not even in the most dangerous of all areas, but that didn't seem to matter....some coward hit is tent while he was sleeping with a mortar. ....Sorry for rambling!

Kelly

Kelly-Oh, please...that is not rambling! It is interesting to hear "real" stories. Anyway, I really do appreciate not only the troops, but the families of the troops. Have a BLAST at Disney...ya'll deserve it!
