can anyone give me suggestion as to the best sit down resteraunt to visit while staying a disney world either in the world or downtown disney

It really depends on what type of food you like, how much you want to spend, what time of year you are going and if you have kids with you among many other factors. I would check out the menu's on: http://www.allearsnet.com/din/dining.htm

There are some very good, gourmet type choices such as Victoria and Alberts, or there are some really fun places that have unique atmospheres like Sci Fi but are less about gourmet food. Then of course there are the numerous character meals. Check out the menus and see what looks good!

Well, I think the 'best' is probably considered to be Victoria and Alberts, but that doesn't always suit everyone's taste, or budget.

There are dozens of table service restaurants at WDW...probably close to a hundred. We need to know a bit more about what you're looking for, in order to suggest something for you.

Are you looking for gourmet, or something a little more meat-and-potatoes?

What price range are you looking for?

Kid-friendly, or intimate/elegant?

Any particular cuisine? There's everything from African to Moroccan to French, places specializing in seafood or steak, just about everything you could imagine.
