Sorry this is long...
1) Epcot WS lunch worries
I have been looking at the Epcot WS restaurants for lunch in the park. I really want to try Marrakesh for the "exotic" feel...but the menu doesn't thrill me. I'm sure everyone in my party (8 teens and adults) would find something to eat, but is a "so-so" meal worth the experience??? I am not drawn to Le Cellier for the ambience, but the menu looks good, and I think there would be enough food to share (for a few of us gals)- and there could be good value for vouchers. Teppanyaki has also seemed interesting, but I have heard about small portion sizes and plain flavorings. Any suggestions, comments, etc.
2) Coral Reef lunch vs counter service and Coral Reef for dessert
I really want to try Coral Reef for the Lobster Bisque and dessert. I can easily tell DH that is the plan and he will just go with it. However, I will also be traveling with Mom, mom's bf, sis, bro, sis, and sis bf. I don't love the menu, but would love to eat in the setting. How could you (or would you?) explain about the expensive and "okay" menu???? I can't see telling everyone to eat soup and dessert. I guess we could just stop late afternoon after a counter service lunch (where?) and have dessert. Or might this seem weird to not just eat lunch here and let everyone decide for themselves about this restaurant???
3) Cindys vs CP
Cindy's ...lunch menu is okay, I love to eat in the castle....but is it "worth it"? I guess what I mean is will others see the limited menu and say what was she thinking???? My mom has great memories of CP, and mentioned eating there again. I feel that for the $17.99 spent on lunch...I'd rather be in the castle. I'm just afraid the menu will disapoint. Comments???
4) Can I ask for 3 seperate checks everywhere??? I know it may seem obnoxious to our server, but some are drinkers and some are not....I don't know how to split the checks later (gracefully) without going item by item on the bill. How have you handled this when traveling with a large party??? Oh, and with a party of 8 will gratuity already be figured in?? Will they add the gratuity to the 3 seperate checks?? How will that work if we use a couple vouchers, while others pay$$ for their meals???
Thanks so much for any input....I am the primary planner, but 7 of 8 have been to WDW before. Only my mom is expressing any opinion...others just happy to go along with the plan. I need to get her on deb's for menus and see her reactions to prices, etc. Thanks everyone!!!!
